Rain. I woke up to rain. I lied before about liking the rain. Well it depends on my mood actually. My least favourite weather was a nothing day. Where there's no sun and no visible sky, just grey grey clouds.
When I rolled out of bed I realised I still had yesterdays clothes on. I didn't care honestly I just wanted coffee. So I headed to the kitchen, walked straight to the coffee machine, grabbed a cup and waited.
My heart nearly stopped when I heard something move on my couch.
"Shit. Timothee you scared me"
"What you forgot I slept here?"
"It's early my brain doesn't function at this time"
"So you want coffee?" It wasn't really a question more I'm making you some anyway.
"Doesn't sound like I have much choice" he laughed
I glared at him before pouring coffee into both cups and going over to sit next to him.
"Did you sleep alright?" I asked him.
"Yeah. I'm guessing you didn't"
"What makes you think that?" Sarcasm clear in my answer.
"How come you couldn't sleep?"
"Um I don't know"
He could tell I didn't want to continue with the subject so dropped it and talked about other stuff. We sat on the couch for two hours before Timothee had to leave for a meeting with his agent. I needed to get some work done actually, so that's what I spent the rest of the day doing.
I text Maddy asking if she was free and we decided to go watch a movie. I let her pick what film and she drove us there.
"I haven't been to the cinema since forever"
"Whats a cinema?" Maddy asked.
"Where we're going. Oh right you guys call it a theatre right or the movies" I laughed.
We laughed and she asked me about what it was like in England.
We ended up watching La La Land which I'd actually already seen and love. After that we grabbed something to eat at five guys.
"You've never had a five guys before?"
"No. We do actually have one near to where I live it's just super expensive"
"What about Taco Bell?"
"Nope I don't think we have one in England"
We talked and talked for hours in her car while we ate our food. We bonded over our similar taste in music and how we were both obsessed with euphoria. We drove back and made plans to do something this weekend.
When I got back into my apartment, I felt happy, genuinely happy. I just wondered how long it would last.
