Every morning we drank coffee outside in the garden and ate whatever Marta had made for us. After breakfast I'd sit next to the pool reading, writing or listening to music.

It was nearing the evening which was my favourite part of the day. The sky was a deeper blue and the sun was low, making the air slightly cooler.

"Wanna go on a bike ride?" I asked Timothee.

"I was just about to ask you the same" he smiled and put out his hand to lift me up from the sun bed.

There were two white bikes at the front of the house leaning against the wall. I climbed onto one and waited for Timothee.

"Where do you wanna go?" I asked.

"Anywhere" He said while stood with the bike between his legs.

I pushed off the bike and rode down the path away from the house. Timothee was beside me. He was wearing a white unbuttoned shirt that blew in the warm evening breeze. I loved this. Peddling under the deep blue sky, hearing the sound of crickets mixed with the mild air and swishing trees was heavenly.

"Follow me" Timothee shouted as he took the lead.

We ended up going down this little side path that was covered with grass and trees, like most of the surrounding area. You wouldn't even know it was there. Eventually we came to a stop and Timothee ran down the side of the hill so I could no longer see him. I already recognised this from the movie.

"Come on" he shouted.

"Alright give me a second" I shouted back.

When I got to the edge of the hill I looked down and saw the lake or stream. The sound of running water was too perfect and serene to describe. Timothee was already in the water.

"You coming in?" he looked towards me

"You coming in?" he looked towards me.

"Course I'm coming in"

I threw my shoes to the side and walked into the water, stopping half way.

"Too cold?" he smirked.

"No...no I'm just standing"

He walked over to me, dragging his legs through the water.

"So you won't mind" he said bending down to the water "if I do this" he cupped his hands and through water at me.

I gasped at the coldness but quickly splashed him back, and then the battle of who could splash who the most began. I turned away to dodge a huge wave of water and while I was rubbing my eyes, Timothee grabbed my waist and pulled me into the water.

"You trying to drown me?" I spluttered.

He brushed back my wet hair and looked into my eyes with concern.

"I was joking" I smiled.

"Hmm" he sounded.

"Hmm" I mocked.

"My Lucie" he said before leaning back and floating on top of the water.

I swam on my back, doing an almost starfish movement and turned my head to the side. Timothee's hair swirled around in the blueish green water. 'My Lucie' I repeated in my head.

"I love you" I said.

There was no overthinking, no 'should I say it now', no doubt or anything other than it feeling natural and right. I was still floating so was looking up at the clouds and trees.

"What?" He said.

"I uh....you know what never mind" I felt Timothee pull my hands and lift me up so our bodies were close together. He stared at me with alluring eyes.

"I said...I love you" Saying it in a child like tone.

"I love you too" he said before leaning in and slowly kissing me.

My body ached for more so I wrapped my legs around his waist and put my hands around the back of his neck. I pressed my lips against his but he was still doing it slowly, and I felt a smile form on his mouth.

"Why?" I breathed into his mouth.

"Because" he whispered.

"Hmm"

"How about me dry off" he said.

Unwrapping my legs from around him, I walked out the water. My clothes were soaking wet and cold so I just took them off. I had a bikini on underneath, so I figured I'd dry quicker.

I turned to see Timothee looking at me so I pulled my tongue out like a kid but in the silly fun way.

"Should we ride back?" I looked over to him.

"I'll race you" he said running to his bike.

"Hey that's not fair" I said.

I mounted the bike, holding my wet clothes with the left handle bar while Timothee took off down the secluded path. Following behind, I managed to catch up to him when we came out onto the main road.

"Looks like I'm faster" I shouted as I passed him.

"Oh really" he said passing me.

This continued until we got back to the house and Timothee won, only by a few seconds though.

"I'm gonna go have a shower" I said to Timothee, before entering the house.

"Ok then we'll eat" he smiled.

Turning the shower on and waiting for the water to get hot, I flicked through my phone deciding what song to put on. I hopped in the shower while summer time sadness played over the sound of thudding water.

I got out, threw on a little floaty summer dress and left my hair to air dry. Walking down the stairs to go find Timothee, I passed a room and took a quick glance and my eyes darted to a piano.

"No way" I said out loud.

The grand piano sat in what looked like a sitting room. Two couches and a bookcase were over by the window. Opening the fallboard to reveal the black and white keys, I took a seat on the brown leather stool and began playing.

There were many songs I'd learnt on the piano and stored away in my brain somewhere. The most recent one I learnt was video games by Lana.
