"Ok so while you were gone we worked on three of your songs all of which were recorded and set to soon be released" Mia sat with me in the studio.

I'd been back in New York for two days and honestly I didn't ever think I'd miss it, but I did. Being back in the studio writing, sharing and creating made me feel that passion again I have for music and how insanely lucky I was to even be in this position.

"Hey summer I want to see what you've been writing while I was away" I looked over at her.

She seemed excited when I said that and showed me six full complete songs.

"Summer these are amazing, I mean of course they are you're so talented, so have you shown them to Tate?" I asked.

"No...these are just practice songs I like to call them, they're not as good as yours"

"What are your serious?" It made me sad to think I'd just come in and automatically had every song I shared produced and summer was holding back because of me.

"Anyway, let me see what you've been working on" She said.

"Oh um...I haven't really been writing. I don't know maybe I'm having a mental block or something" I laughed nervously. I'd actually wrote four songs while I'd not been in the studio, but I really wanted Summer to share her songs and everyone else. Also they were really personal and deep songs that I didn't feel like sharing.

After finishing for the day, I checked my phone and noticed six missed calls from my sister. I called her quickly not knowing if she'd still be awake.

"Hey" Katie said, sounding like I'd woken her up.

"Hey, sorry I missed your calls I was working"

"Oh no it's fine I just wanted to tell you we're coming to visit" her tired voice being replaced with excitement.

"Really?"

"Yeah of course we're not going to miss your birthday"

"It's just a day"

"Do you want us to come or not?"

"Stupid question. I can't wait to hug you and show you around New York City"

"Our flights tomorrow and we're staying in hotel near your apartment"

"Ok well I'll let you get back to sleep. Text me what time your flight is"

"Will do. Night Lucie smooshy"

"Night Katie latey"

I walked back to my apartment stopping on the way to get a coffee. Climbing up the stairs because yes I still didn't like elevators, I saw Timothee down the hall about to knock on my door.

"Heyyy" I said.

"Hmm I must'v miscalculated"

"Miscalculated?"

"Yeah the time it takes you to get home from work"

"Well my sister called me and then I got a coffee"

"Oh I know what it is you take the stairs" he smirked.

I frowned at him but smiled and then opened the door.

"So what did your sister have to say?" He asked.

"Her and my mum are coming to visit for a few days"

"They are? you must be so excited. How longs it been since you last saw them?" He laughed a little.

"I think it's been about 3 months and what's so funny?"

"Oh uh nothing" Hiding a smile.

"Well they're coming tomorrow and I um...I haven't told them about you" Not knowing how he'd react.

"Why doesn't that surprise me"

"It doesn't?"

"You never tell anyone anything not even me sometimes" He said while getting a drink of water.

"I tell you the most out of anyone though"

"I know" He said taking a sip of water.

He was leaning on the island in the kitchen. I went over and put my arms around him, hugging him from the back. He turned and lifted me up onto the marble kitchen surface. Timothee leaned into my neck kissing along my jawline his hands in my hair.

I was thinking back to when he told me he loved me and how I didn't say anything back. He seemed unfazed by it, almost like he knew I wouldn't say it. Of course I loved him but I'd never told anyone that before, like ever. Again something that I wish was different about me, being able to show affection so easily.

He carried me to the couch and hovered over me finally bringing his lips to mine. I tugged at his hair as he continued running his hands through mine. And then my phone rang.

Timothee got up and grabbed my phone handing it to me. I sighed before answering.

"What are you up to?" Maddy blurted.

"Hey to you too and I'm just with Timothee" trying not to sound as though she just interrupted something.

"Oh sorry we can do something another time"

"No no it's...come over we can watch a movie"

"You sure?"

"Course I am now come over"

She hung up and I could already hear her door shut from down the hall. I hadn't spent as much time with Maddy. Actually I hadn't seen her since I was back from San Fran and I really didn't want to recount the details to her.

"You don't mind Maddy coming over?" I asked Timothee.

"I've actually been wanting to get to know her more, she seems really nice"

"She is"

Maddy came in and I saw the look on her face when she saw Timothee. I couldn't blame her it's just I always forgot that he was one of the biggest actors of my generation. It was like when I met Zendaya, I was completely star struck I even wrote a song about it.

"Hey Maddy" Timothee waved to her.

"Hey Timothee" sounding calmer than I expected.

We ordered pizza and decided on watching The Truman Show which was one of my favourite movies.

"So how was San Francisco?" Maddy asked as soon as the film finished.

Timothee looked at me. I hated lying to Maddy but this wasn't a conversation to be had right now so I decided to just leave out the bad parts.

"Uh yeah it was good. I got to see Timothee on set" I smiled.

"You're so lucky"

"You should come along next time" Timothee said.

I looked at him shocked. I'd actually wished she could've come with me last time but I didn't want to put Timothee in an awkward position, I knew he hated saying no to me.

"Really?" Maddy's mouth dropping open.

"Yeah you can keep Lucie from getting into any trouble" He said.

My eyes drew straight towards him. With the silence loud and tension growing, Maddy took it as her queue to leave.

"I better go, I've got work early tomorrow" She said by to Timothee and I walked her to the door.

"I'll text you" I said before shutting the door and turning to Timothee who had a smile on his face. Of course he did.

I walked straight into my room changing into comfy clothes and running my hands through my hair. He made me so mad sometimes but it wasn't the type of 'I hate you' mad it was more the playful and teasing type. And I hated to admit it but I liked.
