As I peered down the tree lined walkway, I could see the start of a bridge at the end of the path. The sound of running water started pouring through the air as I got closer to what looked like a wooden bridge. Sun peeked through the canopy of trees, glistening on the grass.
This was like one of those fairytale secret garden type places. The wooden bridge arched over a lake that was edged with trees and flowers and grass. I can't believe this was here the whole time, hidden yet so close.
I was on the bridge now, leaning over the edge and looking down into the water. Feeling something grab my waist I almost fell in.
"God Timothee" I said.
"So you found my secret place" He said with his hands still around me.
"Your secret place?"
He nodded looking at me his face close to mine.
"How come you never showed me?"
"You mean how you don't share things with me?" He said.
"That's different"
"How's it different?"
"Because it is" I said feeling his hands drop from my body.
He leant over the wooden bridge not saying anything.
"Have you seen the bridge to terabethia?" I said.
"No"
"You haven't?" I said shocked "Well this reminds me of it"
"Why do you always keep parts of yourself hidden?" Timothee said still looking down.
I didn't say anything, I just thought and watched as Timothee turned to me now. I shrugged my shoulders which I know is the worst response to give.Timothee simply walked over and wrapped his arms around me which took me by surprise. My head rested into his shoulder and I took in his perfect scent.
He rubbed his hands along my back and I leaned against him. Every part of my body ached for him.
"You can tell me anything you know that?" He said.
"I know"
"Then why do you shut me out"
"Because I never know how to explain what I'm feeling" I said.
His arms dropped from my waist and he moved his head to look at me.
"What are you thinking right now?" He said.
I looked into his eyes before smiling.
"Go on tell me" he nudged my arm a little.
Timothee studied my face and before he could say anything else I leaned in so our faces were inches apart. My breath quickened and so did his and then I pressed my lips against his.
I could never get use to this feeling. This amazing, euphoric, sensual chemical reaction that flowed through my body anytime Timothee's skin was on mine.
"So that's what you think about" he whispered and I felt a smile form on his mouth.
I pushed him slightly but he grabbed my wrist, stopping me from walking away which I was about to do.
"Ok well what are you thinking about?" I said his hand still on my wrist.
"How I wish I could hear one of your songs" he said.
"That's what you think about?"
"Why wouldn't I?"
I somehow managed to change the subject and we headed back to the house. We spent the last few hours by the pool before packing up.
We waited for the car to come pick us up. I went back round to the kitchen and said bye to Marta and thanked her for the amazing food she'd made for us.
"Car's here" Timothee shouted.
I hugged Marta and I headed towards the car. Taking one final look at the house I got in and for some strange reason I didn't feel sad about leaving.
