New Beginnings

"What happened earlier? I only know what you said on the phone which wasn't much at all." Selena said after 15 minutes of silence. I was sitting in the passenger side gazing out the window watching cars and lights zoom past me not really thinking about anything. I glanced at her only so she could look at me initiating for me to start. I sighed as I changed my slumping position.

"On the way to the hotel I seen Josh and Chummy talking. You think that's normal behavior which it wasn't because Josh and Jocelyn broke up because he cheated on her. Throughout their whole conversation they were looking at me with sorrow and guilt and I just got this sinking feeling. I asked her about it after she came back from exploring and she said it would ruin my whole trip and I should at least get my tattoo then ask Josh. So I got my tattoo and when we got back he told me. " I paused trying not to get worked up again over it.

"He told me that after he broke up with her she ran off and Jaylen found her. They went back to her house and they fucked. " I said getting angry all over again.

"He did what? I'm going to-" She said angrily.

"It's fine. Not even worth the time. I should've known though. When we were on the plane I asked Jaylen how he was feeling and I said a quick remark to Josh and Jaylen was basically defending him him. Hint number one. When we got off the plane we were waiting at baggage claim and the three amigos walked off somewhere. I blew it off because that was their crew back in the day. That was hint number two because they never go off with each other. EVER. Then when we got to the hotel he went to the gym while I took a nap. Now that I think of it, when he came back he didn't smell like sweat or anything. Hint number three. When they all came to my room after I got my tattoo they were avoiding each other and was acting awkwardly around me." I said thinking about it. I should've known that they had something going on. All those hints were there and I just blew past them because I would think the two people I trust, wouldn't betray me.

"What did you do to them?"

" For starters, I kicked everyone out once he told me because I didn't want anyone interjecting.I picked her up by her neck and slammed her on the ground choking her. I started punching her when her mouth started gushing blood. Jaylen pulled me off of her and luckily he did because I know I would've killed her because my control over my anger was long gone. I broke away from his grip then I threw a lamp at him, whipped him with a charger, and broke his phone. When I was walking out a worker came in and I told him that I would pay for the damages. And that was it." I explained, hopefully for the last time. Reliving bad experiences isn't a good feeling.

When we got home and I had Selena explain why I was home so earlier while I walked up to my room leaving my luggage in the car. I was so mentally, emotionally, and physically drained. I took a quick shower plopping on my bed feeling like, shit. I turned on the most soothing music on my phone and lied in bed feeling nothing. In a matter of seconds I was asleep dreaming about how life should be instead of how it is now.

I woke up the next morning to someone shaking me awake. I opened my eyes slowly trying to focus when I seen Selena.

"Why are you waking me up?" I said agitated propping myself up on my elbows.

"We're all about to leave for work and wanted to tell you so you won't wake up confused."

"Ok whatever." I said laying back down trying to force myself back to sleep but of course it didn't work.

I sat there staring at the ceiling mad at the world because I couldn't go back to sleep which I wanted more than anything at the moment. Instead of sitting there wallowing away in my anger, I got up and showered. As I was walking out the bathroom towel drying my hair, I heard someone knocking at the door.
