Eulogy Part One: Prom Night

*Prom Day*

I woke up at 7 in the morning and dragged myself out of bed. I was happy today was prom but when I have to wake up early on a Saturday morning, I'm a little upset. Not only that but I couldn't take my long shower. I had so much to do today with so little time.

I have to go pick up my prom dress from being steamed, get my nails done, get my makeup done, get my hair done, and make sure everyone else is on schedule. I walked out the house in my sweater and my jogging pants looking as terrible as I wanted to look. I stepped inside my car and made my way to pick up Alyssa and Julie. We were doing everything together today including getting dressed together, so hopefully they were ready to go.

We decided to get our nails done first, pick up our dresses and then get our makeup and hair done. And me and Julie being the people we are, we had to actually shower before we got our makeup and hair done because we like to be fresh when we go places even if we haven't been doing too much all day.

After we were done with our nails and picking up our dresses, we came back to my house and showered. We were in our chairs getting our makeup done and Jaylen texted me in a group chat.

Jaylen: We have about two hours left before grand march starts. Are you girls close to being done? 

 Me: We're getting our makeup done right now. Hair is next then getting dressed. 

 Matt: We're going to be late.

 Angel: And people ask what's a pro to being gay. Never have to wait for him to get dress. 

Alyssa: So while you're talking have all of you even gotten your hair cut? 

 Danny:Certainly have. We're sitting here eating chips still in our basketball shorts and t-shirts. 

 Julie: We're so glad that you get to sit there and eat without having the hassle of having all this extra chaos today. 

 Jaylen:I'm happy that you're happy.*thumbs up and smiley emoji* 

 Girls:Fuck you.

We threw our phones down and continued to get ready. We had better things to do rather than just sitting here and arguing with them. Once hair and makeup was done, we started putting on our dresses. We took over the whole living room with our three sets of parents and beauty utensils. Moms were helping putting on the dresses. Dads were talking to each other in the media room drinking beers.

"The boys and cars are here." Selena yelled leaning inside the front door at us.

We rushed to get the rest of our things together and on and looked at each other. We stared for a little while with smiles on our face and then we started to cry a tad. We all looked so beautiful and we were going to see our handsome princes look formal than seeing them in casual or comfortable.

"No !" The moms shouted in unison."We can not have you crying before you even step foot outside." Alyssa's mom said.

We fanned our eyes and laughed. They called the dads in and their looks made us want to cry again. It was like it was our wedding day and they were getting ready to send us off. They gave us hugs and we began to take pictures. After a while they told us we were going to be late so we had to get moving.

We walked outside and saw all the boys facing the opposite way and talking. Us girls stood side by side and made sure we were going to be dramatic. I silently counted to three and we all cleared our throats. The boys swiftly turned around and when they seen us, everything stopped. And when we seen them everything stilled for us too.

I looked at Jaylen and his mouth was agape and was almost drooling. His eyes moved up and down slowly then quickly. He looked at me with the a intense look that I've never seen him give me.
