ALL THIS TIME, all these years of living, there was only one person who could do such things as far as making his heart jolt in happiness. such an angel she is. such a pure girl she is. such a weak and fragile glass, any moment could shatter her to pieces. 

the girl's name is l/n y/n, a sick girl who was saved by a demon slayer, kamado tanjiro. y/n was walking in the dark night with the help of an old lady, known as her grandmother. she weakly took steps as she had to at least get some fresh air once in a while after bedridden for a week now. 

the old lady held on to her right arm with a firm grip, making sure that her granddaughter wouldn't fall. y/n couldn't do anything by herself and she's constantly apologizing. "i'm sorry, g-grandmother," she said silently. "i'm a burden to you.. i-- i'm sorry you have to take care of me all the time," she muttered as her grandmother had a stern look. "stop apologizing, y/n," she said with a rather cold voice. she was tired of hearing y/n being apologetic, despite doing nothing wrong. y/n hung her head low in culpability. 

"don't be sorry for what you never did wrong," her grandmother said as y/n's eyes formed tears. "t-thank you, grandmother," she whispered as she smiled silently. her grandmother stopped in her tracks as y/n lifted up her head and turned her gaze to her grandmother to see a hand protruding her forehead, it bursted blood out of her grandmother's head as y/n's eyes widened and she her mouth gaped wide. she let go of her grandmother in shock as she fell on to the hard ground. 

y/n trembled as she saw an inhumane mutated figure behind her grandmother, it started devouring her savagely. tears started spilling out of her e/c hues as she backed away quickly from the demon. "no, no!" she exclaimed under her chilly breath, her head pounded in agony as y/n whimpered in pain as she gripped on to her head. "a sick one? disgusting, but here, i'll end your miseries for you," the demon reached out for her. y/n shut her eyes tightly as she held her head in her hands, looking at the ground. waiting for the pain, but nothing came. 

her headache pounded even worse as tears of pain and misery slipped from her eyes. she looked up to see an unclear figure. her vision was blurring, her temperature started rising drastically. she had a clear diagnosis of meningitis, and it had been making her suffer for a year. a year of agony and misery.
