L/N Y/N was known to be the most reckless student in the whole entire kimetsu academy, meanwhile, shabana ume is known to be the queen and the popular kid who involved herself in a lot of social organizations such as the student council, she was also known to be amazingly diligent and surprisingly respectful for older people.

ume, or known as a nickname give to her, daki, daki was known to despise y/n with her heart since y/n would just love to tease her non stop. one day, daki, as the student council member who had to make sure peace was emitted from everyone, she was walking in the basketball field to see none other than y/n. "it's him," daki muttered with a roll of her eyes before she turned around to walk away, before she could continue further, a hard ball hit the back of her head as it threw daki to the floor, making her face plant to the ground.

"oh crap!" y/n exclaimed with wide eyes as he realized that the ball accidentally hit her and his team mates weren't able to catch it. y/n ran towards daki's aid as daki pushed herself off from the floor. blood trickled down her nose as she looked at y/n with wide eyes. "you stupid crap! look at what you did!" daki screeched.

"oh my goodness, ume," y/n remarked as he handed his hand out for her to take, but it was slapped away. "get the hell away from me!" she exclaimed as y/n grabbed her arm forcefully before dragging her to her feet and dragged her to the nurse's office. "stop it!" she screeched again as she tried yanking her hand out of his grasp, but it only tightened. she had no choice but to continue following y/n. daki huffed out a breath as y/n could only push the nurse's office's glass doors.

there was no one inside. it was just them, this forced y/n to take care of daki. "sit down," y/n said as daki rolled her eyes and huffed out a small breath before she sat on one of the beds. y/n scurried away to grab the first aid kit. daki stared at him silently before he walked back to her and started bandaging her scraped knee and cleaned her bloody nose. daki could only feel her cheeks flared up at how close he was to her. she felt a bit embarrassed.

after the awkward silence had managed to break y/n's patience, y/n sighed and looked away. "i'm sorry," he muttered, making daki 's eyes widened. "what?" y/n asked. "i'm sorry," y/n grimaced. daki stayed silent. "sorry? what for?" daki asked with furrowed brows. "for annoying you," he said silently. "you never said sorry for doing so, so why now?" daki asked, raising a brow. "i just wanted to be friends with you," y/n said silently. daki's eyes widened in surprise before she let out a sigh. "that's definitely not a way to make friends, you dumbass," she said boredly. y/n rolled his eyes with a small smile. "everyone has their own love language," he said before daki stared at him questioningly. "yeah, but yours sucks," she said as she looked down at her nails. "wow.." y/n said with disbelief. "but I'm serious. i'm sorry," he said. daki looked at him before nodding. "i know, now don't do that again before i chop your arm," daki said threateningly. "okay, okay," he rolled his eyes. "friends?" daki asked. "friends."

with that, the two of them started hanging out, fulfilling each other's weakness and being each other's strengths. where there is y/n, there is daki, where there is daki, there is y/n. they were inseparable.
