HER EYES widened in shock to see her husband laying on the ground with blood forming on the ground as it sank into the wooden floor. y/n dropped her basket of fruits as the apples rolled on to the ground as y/n let out a horrifying scream to see sabito laying on the ground, his eyes were shut and y/n quickly ran towards him, pressing her fingers on his neck to check for a pulse, she sighed in relief when she felt a pulse.

'i still can get him to the doctor!' she thought as she hoisted her husband on her back and held his legs tightly as she carried him down the snowy mountain. since he was twice her size, she had a difficult time trying to carry him. 'how did this happen? did a bear appear?' she thought silently to herself with wide eyes, she panted unevenly as she tightened her grip. y/n was just picking up some fruits from the orchard, and she was just going back to her house when her uncle told her to stay with him for the night because of demons.

'did a demon do this?' her eyes widened at the idea, she slid down the snowy slope before she continued walking but there were growls and dangerous noises emanating from her back. "just wait dear, don't worry! i'll get you to a doctor!" y/n exclaimed, suddenly, she yelped, feeling nails digging on to her shoulders. a force made her lose her balance as she was thrown off the cliff. y/n screamed out loud as she landed on the snowy ground. she shut her eyes as the snow kissed her skin for a while before she slowly opened her eyes. 'the snow.. it saved me,' she thought before she saw sabito standing, his head hung low as y/n immediately sat up and forced herself to stand up, running towards him.

"sabito!" y/n exclaimed worriedly. "are you alright? any injuries?" she asked worriedly as sabito tried to bite y/n but y/n dodged him. "what's gotten into you, sabito? are you alright?" y/n asked worriedly before she squeaked, sabito leaped onto her and held her down on the floor tightly, her opened his mouth and screeched loudly as he was about to bite y/n, as y/n looked around desperately. she saw a stick next to her and she grabbed it before placing it in between his mouth, holding on to it tightly.

tears formed around y/n's eyes. "sabito! snap it out!" y/n exclaimed loudly as she tried to hold him off of her, he grew twice his normal size. the stick was slowly breaking as y/n broke into a state of panic. "s-sabito-" y/n begged. "please, it's me, your wife," y/n croaked. the thick stick broke as y/n prepared for her demise with a shut of her eyes but it never came. instead, droplets of tears fell on y/n's face as y/n slowly opened her eyes to reveal a crying sabito.

"sabito..." y/n trailed off silently as sabito shrunk into his normal size and immediately dug his face on her shoulders. y/n started tearing up as she wrapped her hands around him before engulfing him into a tight hug. "i'm sorry.." y/n whimpered. "i'm sorry i wasn't there to protect you, sabit-" she yelped when she saw a shining blade aiming at them both as she quickly hugged him tightly and rolled away from the incoming blade.

the both of them rolled towards the tree as y/n's back hit forcefully at the tree and she groaned in pain. "giyuu?!" y/n exclaimed in surprise. "y/n," he said, acknowledging her presence. "please get off of him," giyuu said silently with a sorrowful face. y/n tightened her grip on sabito. "please don't do this! sabito didn't do anything wrong!" y/n cried out. "you know this giyuu! you know this very well!" y/n continued. "i smelled someone's else's scent, not his!" y/n exclaimed.

"just get out of the way! he's spent a lot of energy transforming into a demon, he could kill you and devour you, y/n!" giyuu said angrily as y/n refused. "no!" y/n exclaimed. sabito gently pushed y/n away before he stood up from the ground and growled angrily at giyuu. he held out a protective hand in front of y/n. he growled threateningly before he leaped towards giyuu, giyuu dodged sabito's attempts of injuring him, y/n quickly pushed herself up from the ground and looked up at sabito.

"sabito! stop attacking him!" y/n cried out desperately as sabito kicked giyuu to the side, giyuu landed swiftly as sabito turned to y/n and leaped forward to her, giyuu gritted his teeth. 'protect her!' he thought to himself. 'you've failed to protect him, so this is your time to redeem yourself tomioka!' he continued thinking as his eyes widened when the dust lifted to see sabito worriedly looking around at y/n's body to check for any injuries. "are.. you okay?" sabito asked worriedly as he held her cheek in his hands.

y/n looked at him in surprise. "i'm alright, i'm alright dear," y/n said as she held his hand tightly. "but please don't attack giyuu.. he's your best friend, do you remember him?' y/n asked as she looked up at sabito. "my memories are unclear.. i can only remember you," sabito replied. "he tried to hurt you," sabito growled at giyuu as he pulled y/n's head to his chest protectively. giyuu could only stand there, frozen. "but don't hurt him, sabito," y/n said as sabito frowned. "what if he'll hurt you again?" sabito asked. "still, don't hurt him, he's our friend, he wouldn't do that in the first place dear," y/n said as giyuu sighed silently before sheathing his blade.

"y/n," giyuu spoke as he approached them, making sabito tighten his grip on her protectively. "you should become a demon slayer again," giyuu said. it's true, y/n was once a demon slayer alongside sabito and giyuu, but when y/n and sabito got married, they retired from their dangerous jobs, leaving giyuu to be the only one among the three to be a demon slayer. "believe it or not, there is also a demon slayer who's traveling with his demon sister, so you're not alone. he's currently trying to find a cure," giyuu said silently. "you should train again with kyojuro-san, you were his tsuguko after all," giyuu continued. "find a cure..?" y/n said silently as she smiled at giyuu. "okay, i'll do it!" y/n exclaimed brightly before she held sabito's shoulders tightly and looked up at sabito.

"i promise you dear, we'll be together no matter what, and i promise i'll turn you back to human!" she exclaimed with determination as sabito looked at her with slightly widened lavender eyes before it softened and he leaned down to peck her forehead. giyuu slightly smiled at the sight. he was silently relieved that sabito was like nezuko, and y/n is safe. that is all he needs to want; his two precious friends.
