"Unconditional love is when someone hurts you, but because you care about that person so much you choose not to hurt them in return."

After years of searching for true love, searching for someone to have a family with, someone that would be his home, Chris finally found that person. He found that person in you. You came out of no where, one moment he knew nothing about you the next he wanted to know everything about you. From your past to all the thing you wanted in the future. Chris couldn't believe how lucky he was. How lucky he was to have a brother that had a friend like you. Every day he remembers that day you walked in with Scott, at a family event. You were wearing a flowing white dress with flowers on it. Your hair was curled, over your shoulders, a smile on your lips that made his heart sing. Chris was in love, he hadn't even found out your name yet, but he knew you were the one.

So now when he was sitting in that dark room with that big table between you two, tears in your eyes, Chris couldn't believe what was going on. He didn't understand how you two had reached this point. You weren't looking at him and that broke his heart. Chris wasn't used to not seeing your eyes. He loved those eyes and how they shined when he made you laugh, or when he proposed to you and even more when you told him you were pregnant. Chris fell in love with your smile but those bright eyes were the thing that made him want to spend the rest of his life with you.

It was a Sunday morning, you and Chris were still in bed, wrapped around each other. Your head was laying on his chest, his hand slowly rubbing your back, kissing you from your head to your neck, making you laugh. Chris rolled you over, hovering over you, but keeping his weight on his arm. He smiled looking in your eyes they shined as the sunlight came in through the blinds, putting a strand of hair behind your ear, Chris whispered "I love you" before softly kissing your lips "I always will" he whispered again before planting another kiss.

Chris remembered that morning and wanted to smile at that beautiful memory, that memory was one of his favorite. He would have smiled if only he didn't know that there wouldn't be moments like that ever again. Chris looked at his hand, at the ring on his finger, ring that had become one with him. He loved that ring, he loved knowing you had one too. And now he might have to take it off and he didn't want at all. Not even a bit.

When you and Chris got married it felt so amazing. You two were a team and worked so well together. You supported each other, always made sure to be there for each other. Especially for very important moments. You were by his side at movie premieres, helping him calm down. To be honest all he needed was to have you by his side, just knowing you were there calmed him. Taking your hand in his felt even better, just perfect. Chris would hold your hand all the time if he could, but now sitting there he couldn't remember the last time he had held your hand or even touched you. It was heartbreaking, no wonder why he felt so alone, so empty, out of place. There was no Chris without you.

"Are we really doing this?" finally Chris spoke, his voice was breaking as much as his heart. "Are we really giving up?" you looked up at him, his eyes were red, it was the first time you had really looked at him since you arrived. A small part of you broke seeing him like that. Seeing him hurt and in tears, made you want to jump up and hug him, kiss him, but you were broken too,. You also were shocked to be where you were, but it wasn't like you hadn't tried, it wasn't as if you hadn't done everything in your power to keep your family happy and together.

"You gave up on us a long time ago" those words hurt Chris, "you stopped caring about us a long time ago."

"That's not true" Chris stopped you from talking "I've always loved you and our family. I've always been there for our kids, I've always done my best to be there for all their big moments" your lawyers tried to stop you two form talking to each other, but nether one of you cared what they were telling you
