'Late, late, late! I'm fucking late. Stupid alarm', you thought to yourself as you ran down the silent school corridor, cursing yourself for being late again. Your math teacher was already cross with you because of your last exam and he surely wouldn't be too stoked about another late arrival this semester.

You turned the corner. Your calves and lungs were on fire. You looked down for a moment and when you looked back up, you bumped into someone tall and tumbled to the ground.

"Ah, shit", you heard a manly, pretty deep voice say.
You shook your head and the hair out of your face, trying to see in what you had just pumped into. You looked around to see a skinny boy, probably a year older than you, with blond long hair that perfectly matched the tone of his flawless skin, lying a few feet away from you. He was dressed in black skinny jeans, a dark gray shirt, combat boots and an old-looking leather jacket. You looked up and his light blue eyes faced you. You opened your mouth, taking a deep breath to say something but then giving it up. Your eyes widened as he looked at you from head to toes and your hands started to shake. Who was this boy and why had you never seen him before?

The fact that you already were way too late for your class didn't seem to matter anymore, you just couldn't help but stare at him.
Seconds passed by without the two of you even noticing, you were too busy looking at each other, but then he stood up slowly, making his way to you and helping you up with his soft, warm hand.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see you, are you hurt or something?", he said, looking down at you. He was a few feet taller than you and his smell was just wonderful.
"Ah, no, I don't think so", you said shyly and looked down on the ground where your bag and its volume were scattered on the ground. You both kneeled down at the same time in order to pick up your stuff, your heads only a few millimeters away from each and your noses almost touching. You felt his warm breath that smelled like coffee on your cheek and caught him staring at you lips. Your hands shuffled over your books while you looked at each other silently. As you both were finished, you got up and awkwardly stood in the hall. "Thank you", you finally said, your lips forming a small smile.
"Ah, you're welcome. I'm Jamie, by the way". You shook hands.
"I'm (your name). Are you new here? I think I've never seen you before."
"Yeah, I moved in last Friday, it's my first day here and nobody told me where to go, my timetable only says 'American History, M. Hamilton', like, where the hell is that supposed to be?"

You laughed a little. "Oh, that's a pretty shit situation, hm? I think I'm pretty sure that American History is close to the Biology halls, I can show you where to go, if you want." Your heart started to beat a little bit faster than it already did. His angelic voice and face made you doubt that any of this was actually happening right now.
"That'd be so nice, but aren't you late already?" He asked with a doubting face.
"I'm way too late anyway, five minutes less or more don't matter. And I'm not very keen on math class." You laughed softly, just a little.
You started walking through the halls, Jamie looking at you the whole time.

As you arrived at the door of his class, you looked at him for a good ten seconds. "It was nice to meet you, Jamie, good luck with history." Your voice was shaky. You were about to leave to finally head to your class when he held you back.
"Wait, I'm glad I met you, (your name)! Is there any chance to see you again? Where can I find you?"
You smirked lightly, surprised about his response, „Shall... Shall I pick you up for lunch?", you stuttered.
He smiled widely, giving you butterflies. "Sure, that'd be great!"
You silently nodded your head, smiled at him and turned your back to leave.

Something about this boy made you go weak at the knees.
Something about this boy made you want to spend every night with him, trying to find out more about his life and his deepest thoughts.
Something about this boy made you incredibly excited.

Your math class seemed to pass even more slowly than it normally did. You couldn't concentrate on the subject even though you tried, but your thoughts were dedicated to Jamie. There was something in you that craved seeing him again.
When the bell finally rang, you couldn't wait to leave the class. Your heart was beating against your rib cage as you walked through the halls and when you saw him standing outside of the class, you took a deep breath.
"How was History?", you asked him.
He squinched up his face, "Uh, it was horrible. My teacher seems to hate me already and all the other kids wouldn't stop staring at me. I'm glad it's over." He laughed as his hand touched yours for a few seconds and then bit his lip.

You and Jamie silently walked through the halls, surrounded by the other students that didn't even seem to notice you. You felt dizzy as you finally made it to the cafeteria, got your lunch and took a seat in the corner of the big hall. Even now you couldn't stop staring at Jamie who sat across from you and critically examined the food in front of him.
"So, Jamie, where are you originally from?", you asked curiously, taking a bite of the mushy spinach on your plate.
"I'm from London, I moved to (your town's name) because my dad got a new, better job here."
"Wow, it must suck having to move from London to a boring town like this, mustn't it?"

He sighed, "For sure it does, but it's okay though, at least I get to meet new, interesting people", he said and smirked at you.
You blushed, quickly lowering your gaze.
He chuckled lightly, "I don't think I've already thanked you for showing me around this morning."
"Oh, you're welcome", you smiled.
"You know, I haven't really gotten to see a lot of this town yet and I was wondering if..." He put his fork down on the table and looked around the room biting his lips. Was he nervous? He cleared his throat. "So, would you wanna go on a date later tonight? Um, if you're not busy?"

Of course you said yes and later that day, you found yourself sitting on a blanket next to Jamie. You had shown him around your hometown the whole afternoon and as it had gotten darker outside, you had decided to take him to your haunt, the meadow next to a quiet, small lake.
You let yourself fall backwards onto the blanket and looked up to the stars. You closed your eyes and smiled.
"Today was wonderful, (your name)", you heard Jamie say, "I'm really glad I bumped into you this morning." He giggled softly as you felt his warm fingertips caress the skin of your face.

You slowly opened your eyes to look into his beautiful face, your heart beating faster than ever.

His hand caught your chin as he gently tilted your face up. Slowly, Jamie leaned down, never breaking eye contact with you until he closed his eyes and pressed his lips to yours softly. Your stomach did backflips as you timidly brought your hands to rest on his chest and you kissed him back, smiling. After a moment he pulled away, resting his forehead against yours and looking into your eyes with his cute little smile on his lips.

"Will you be my girlfriend?", he asked.
You blushed, only being able to whisper a small "Yes."

Jamie beamed, bringing up both hands to cradle your face as he kissed you again, and you could feel him smiling against your lips.
