182. Lee Pace | To Die For

You and Lee found out about your roles in the upcoming Hobbit films at the same time. You were both sitting inside the booth of a restaurant, having some breakfast. You would always associate the smell of eggs with happiness now, just because of how heavy the scent was when you got the email. You looked up at your boyfriend who was still reading the message on his phone, a smile coming across his face. "You're in too?" He asked, realizing what your smile meant. You nodded and he clapped his hands with excitement. In no time, he was on your side of the booth, hugging you and covering your face in orange-juice flavored kisses. You didn't mind it at all. This was a huge role for you, and for him, and it was only because you were in public that you didn't go hysterical with eagerness.

The script would be coming in the mail soon, but the both of you went home to re-read your well worn copies of The Hobbit. The character that you were playing, Tauriel, was an invention of the film writers to add more drama, and an actual woman, to the trilogy, but you didn't mind. You could see how she could fit between the lines. And rumor was that she had a love interest. You were excited to see who. Fingers crossed for Thranduil, since playing someone in love with Lee would be the easiest thing in the world. You would understand if it wasn't though, and if perhaps it was one of the dwarves, or perhaps even Bilbo himself! That would make for something interesting.

Lee wasn't usually a jealous person. He'd seen movies where you had a love interest who wasn't played by him before and he knew that it was part of the job. But seeing how well you connected with Aidan Turner, who was playing Kili... it made it hard to watch. Seeing you two joke around off-set and play fight with the swords while he had to sit out because he had these grand garments on during his scenes that he couldn't get dirty ... it felt impossible.

"Hey handsome," You said, approaching your boyfriend with red cheeks after a practice with the battle choreographer. You were a bit worn out from the work-out.

"What a surprise," Lee said in his Thranduil voice. He was still in the full costume, having just finished a scene. "Seeing you without your constant companion."

"Don't be jealous, Lee," You said, quickly, catching the look in his eye. "We'll be filming our last scenes soon enough and it'll only be one kiss. You know how good I am at those, so it should only be one take."

"You're too good at those," Lee grumbled. You wiped at your sweaty forehead with the back of your hand, but grinned over at your boyfriend. Carefully, considering the costume he was wearing, you approached and gave him a hug, resting your head upon his chest.

"You're going to drive yourself crazy," You told him, taking your hand and holding the back of his neck. You knew that he found this to be very comforting, so you always did it when he was a little upset. "It's work, Lee. I would never kiss anyone but you otherwise. You know that, right? And that there's only enough room in my heart for you."

Lee wished that made him feel better, but it didn't. Tauriel and Kili - no, he didn't like that. Were anyone else playing your role, he might have thought that it was cute, but when it was your face associated with it?

"Y/L/N! Take a shower, then hit up the hair and make up tent, we're going to be filming soon!" Peter's assistant had called out to you from the other side of the studio. Even Lee had to wince, since her voice was loud enough to fill the entire space.

"I guess I'd better go," You said, unlatching yourself from him, but pressed a kiss upon his cheek. "Do you want to come watch the scene? I can ask that you be brought out on the golf carts. I love those things. I'll even drive us back, what do you say?"
