"We graduate soon," Annabelle sighed to Lexi; who nodded from behind a textbook. "I think it's pretty scary."
"I guess so," Lexi spoke up. She closed her textbook, letting it fall onto the bed. "I just can't wait to move away for college."
""It's sort of sad, don't you think?" Lexi shrugged, "Like, how many of us are actually going to the same college? Me and you."
"We'll still see everyone," Lexi smiled. "Holidays and whatever."
The girl hummed, flicking through her own study notes. She hadn't spoken to Fez about college yet; and if she was correct, he had zero idea that she was even moving that far away.
"Yeah," Annabelle spoke. "It's just weird, like, going from seeing my mom and Ewan and whoever everyday, to seeing them for like Christmas."
Lexi shuffled over on the bed, leaning her head against Annabelle's shoulder. She grabbed her hand, linking them together, giving it a squeeze.
"Facetime," Lexi shrugged. "Facetime is a blessing."
"I know, and I know i'll be fine," Annabelle nodded with a small laugh. "It's just the sayin' goodbye that's gonna be hard, you know?"
"The holidays will fly by though," Lexi tried to cheer Annabelle up. "We'll be coming home again before you know it."
"Yeah."

Annabelle sat across from Fez, hands crossed on the table. He sat slouched in his seat, hand coming to the table occasionally to grab some fries.
"What's gotchu all weird an' shit?" Fez asked her. She gave him a little smile, taking one of his fries.
"I just thought we should talk about college," she mumbled. He raised a brow. "Me and college, I graduate soon."
"Yeah, I know."
"I just thought we should maybe talk about the whole situation- you know, with me moving and such."
"An' like, which one you goin' to again?"
"Harvard," she spluttered out quickly. Fez shrugged, clearly having no clue. "Like a 2 day car journey."
"Oh," he spoke. "That's cool, yeah."
"But we need to seriously talk about it," she nodded with a smile. "Like, if we want to do the distance, or if we want to come to an end."
"How long do you have before you have to like, leave or whatever?"
"The rest of the school year and then most of the Summer holidays," she told him. "Probably around four months."
Fez sucked in a sharp breath giving her a look with wider eyes than normal. Annabelle sighed, head falling back against the booth's chair.
"An' what's your take?" He asked her. "Whatchu wanna do?"
"Id obviously love to stay with you," she nodded quickly. "But I don't want to hold you back from anything, girls and such."
"I ain't wanna be with other girls-"
"Listen," she shrugged, reaching over to clasp one of his hands within hers. "I think for the both of us that'd be best- I myself, couldn't spend up to like, I don't know, four years missing you."
"You ain't gotta miss me though, we could call an shit."
She let out a small laugh, "So you think we can spend that long apart, seeing you only two or three times a year for four years."
He nodded, sure in his response. She was about to argue with his decision, knowing it probably wouldn't last all that long.
"I love you kid," He told her quickly. He brushed over it, not wanting to make a big deal, but his neck flamed when he saw her smile in response. "I ain't gettin' rid of that jus' cause you goin' off to college for some years."
"Really?"
"Yeah bruh," he gave her a little smile. "An' like if it doesn't work out when it comes to it, then that's somethin' for then."
She lent across the table, body hovering above the metal, lips puckered for a small kiss.
"I love you too," she uttered against his lips.
