It's been a week since the news of the team circulated, to say Beth was not happy would be an understatement. She's been even more hostile towards Riley and I don't quite understand why
"She thinks so so high and fucking mighty" Beth growled watching as Riley stood at her locker with her best friend. Maisie I think her name was..

"First she comes in twirling her hair like she belongs here. Somehow manages to get into the team and now walks around like she owns the place" Beth growled, I glanced back over to Riley to see a tall blonde stood there leaning against the locker next her.
The looks in his eyes was one I did not want to see any guy having for Riley

"And looks like she's going for the older boys too" With a scoff Beth continues making me slam my locker shut making her jump
"Beth just shut up. She made the team because you fucking messed up. And who she hangs out with is none of your damn business" I said about to walk away

From the looks of things, the sudden out burst was attracting some unwanted attention by people around us included Riley and her little group

"Don't forget our deal James" Beth called after me earning nothing more then a middle finger as I continued to walk out of the school main entrance
The last thing I need right now is this bullshit

"I hate this fucking mess" I groaned to myself sitting at Parkour Alley by The Next Step, this place became a staple for me whenever it came to avoiding little miss 'perfect princess' known as Beth

This whole ordeal with Beth got out of hand so quickly and I don't think I even truly understand how I got myself into this situation

The last thing I want to do is being a utter prick to Riley. When I made this deal with Beth, I had no idea who Riley was, she wasn't even around at that point
This deal has made my life hell for several months now but I don't know how I'm meant to get out of it

Sitting here alone for several hours was clearly what I needed to clear my head enough to focus on something else
I walked up the path towards The Next Step only to feel someone's gaze falling upon me, I turned slightly to see Riley just off to the side of me

"Did you really skip the entire day?" Riley asked making me nodded
"Why are you walking, doesn't your dad usually bring you?" I asked making her sigh
"Lets not talk about that" She said as I finally caught up to her

"Has something happened? Clearly what ever it is has pissed you off" I said making her roll her eyes at me
"Just a shitty step mother who has my Dad wrapped around her little finger" She said as we approached the building
"So how did you you get here?" I asked and she shrugged
"Two busses and a 10 minutes walk" She said making me raise a brow

"And you intend to do that every day?" I asked but she shrugged
"On the way home, it's only one bus and a 40 minute walk" She said making me furrow my brows at her

"That's stupid Riley, what are you going to do when it comes to us staying late?" I asked and she shrugged
"Look James, it's okay. It isn't anyone problem but mine" she said attempting to walk ahead

I shook my head also speeding up a little to grab her arm, as I did it stopped her completely in her track allowing her to turn and face me
"What if I just give you a ride here and back?" I asked making Riley look at me confused

"What?" She asked and I nodded
"I'll give you a lift there and back under one condition?" I asked making her tilt her head
"Nobody finds out. Especially not Beth" I said making Riley sigh and nod

"Do we have a deal?" I asked offering my hand making her chuckle
"Deal" Riley said shaking my hand
