It's been 10 minutes since Kaeya had started talking (or a little more complaining)..Albedo felt as if he was about to burst out in anger.

"Anyway, I shouldn't talk about my boring work life when you're obviously taking a walk the same reason I am." He sighed a bit dramatically.

"You are taking a walk because of your work, right?", "I think lying to you will just give me a bigger headache, so, yes.".

Kaeya grinned, "Let me buy you a drink, my brother owns this nice tavern down the street, they have the best Dandelion Wine!" He grabbed onto Albedo's sleeve and started pulling him to the tavern before he could reply.

"What?!—Let go of me you..mental person!" Albedo shouted, that definitely got them a few looks by some people.

"We're almost there!" Kaeya started running now.

By the time they got there, Albedo was ready to tackle Kaeya right here in this tavern (that for some reason had a piano in the corner)...well that was until he saw...

"Crap." Albedo muttered under his sharp breaths.

"Diluc! My favorite brother!" Kaeya sure did bring a lot of attention to himself. Which meant he also brought attention to Albedo.

"First of all, I'm your only brother, second, I told you that you weren't allowed here anymore after the sob fest you had a week ago." Diluc slammed his cup down.

"Don't be like that Diluc!" Kaeya sat at the bar with a mocking smile, Albedo had sat next to him with his hand hiding his face.

Diluc glanced to Albedo then to Kaeya, he looked serious (not that he never didn't look serious but even more serious).

"Whose this?" Diluc raised an eyebrow, "That's just my companion, his name is Alb—!" Albedo cut him off by kicking him in the leg.

"Ow!" Kaeya pouted (obviously just trying to be annoying), "Right.." Diluc gave Albedo a suspicious look then went to get two drinks of Dandelion Wine for them.

"You seem anxious, something wrong Albed—!" Albedo put his hand over Kaeya's mouth before he could get another word out, "Shut up!" he shout whispered.

"What's wrong?" His muffled voice carefully asked.

"Just, be quiet." Albedo slowly took his hand off.

Kaeya looked at him blankly for a moment, then a smirk slipped to his mouth.

"Why are you acting so strange Albedo?" His obnoxious voice echoed throughout the tavern, "Oh, Jesus Christ." Albedo put a hand to his face with an eye roll.

A formally dressed ginger man walked up to Kaeya and Albedo I shocked plastered on his face, "Albedo? What are you doing here?" The ginger forced a smile.

"Childe!" Albedo jerked his head to Childe with a (slightly unsettling) grin on his face. "I could be asking you the same thing." He teethed, Childe laughed, "I'm just here with some work friends, speaking of friends, whose this?" Childe tilted his head towards Kaeya.

"Ah! Uh, no one!" Albedo grabbed Kaeya's badge and put it in his pocket, he put on a clumsy smile. Kaeya raised an eyebrow at Albedo...than suddenly realized.

Kaeya looked at Childe with a smile full of teeth as he spoke cheerfully, "We aren't friends, I just wanted to make small talk.".

Childe blinked at Kaeya a few times with confusion then looked at Albedo while dragging out the word 'okay' in a weirded out tone.

"Well, me and my comrades were just leaving." Childe ruffled Albedo's hair (which Albedo hated and had to fight off a scold), "See you at work," Childe shot finger guns with a wink as he went over to a few of his 'comrades' (they soon left).

"Here you go, jerk wad and jerk wads guest." Diluc passed two glasses towards Kaeya and Albedo.

"Thank you my amazing, wonderful, kinda annoying brother!" Kaeya tilted his glass to him then took a sip, Albedo had his head on the table in shame and embarrasment.

"Hey Albedo," Kaeya's calm tone was unexpected, which grabbed Albedo's attention.

"Yeah?" Albedo answered (though it was muffled).

"I'm gonna need my badge back," Kaeya looked in his glass instead of Albedo. "Oh, sorry, here." Albedo sat up straight and gave him back his badge.

His thank you was a nod.

After a few moments of silent, the song in the tavern changed.

I Will Always Think Of You was the song.

'I will always, think of you.'

'I see your face when each day's through,'

"I haven't heard this song in..quite a while." Kaeya let out a sorrowful laugh. "How about we get Diluc to turn this off?" Kaeya obviously looked uncomfortable with the song, but Albedo hadn't noticed.

"No, I like it." Albedo ran his finger over the top of the glass.

Kaeya might've just been imagining it but...he thought he could see a slight smile on Albedo's face.

'And days go past, oh so fast,'

'But memories they last.'

They listened to the lyrics together until Kaeya spoke up, "Come on, no reason to not enjoy a song you like!" Kaeya pulled Albedo towards the piano in the corner of the tavern.

"I haven't played the piano in a while, I don't think I'd be any good." Albedo waved his hands in a no motion. "Just try!" Kaeya sat up on the piano cross-legged, Albedo sighed knowing he couldn't get out of this.

He sat at the piano and began playing from where the song was.

(content deleted here for cringe purposes a few years later...)

Albedo let the piano linger for a bit longer until he took his hands off, his face turned red when he saw everyone looking.

One person began clapping at a slow pace but it soon got faster and everyone started clapping and cheering.

Kaeya enjoyed the praise and laughed a little with the biggest grin plastered on his face.

Albedo couldn't help but do the same.

Diluc had his eyes and mouth wide as he almost dropped the cup he was holding.

After getting many comments like, 'That was beautiful' or some other sappy crap, Albedo and Kaeya left together, smiling and laughing.
