Chapter 44 : Almost Too Easy.

Kaeya walked through the streets trying to find somewhere that'd look like where the Fatui were hiding Albedo...but he was beginning to lose hope.

Kaeya's thoughts were eating him alive to the point he didn't even realize he was still walking...until someone bumped into him.

"Oh, I'm sorry sir." She apologized, "It's alrigh—" Kaeya looked at her with wide eyes.

The lady's eyes were black with red x's on them..Kaeya's never seen anything like it. She was wearing some black (fake) fur on her coat as well. She was definitely a Fatui member.

"Excuse me, but where are you coming from?" Kaeya almost immediately realized how weird that sounded.

I swear to god if I get kidnapped again.
Kaeya smiled.

"I don't think that's important to you." She glared at him and began walking away.

Shit..
Kaeya sighed, at least he knew he was going in the right direction.

As Kaeya continued walking, he realized how he began to enter a sketchy looking town.

This definitely isn't creepy at all.
Kaeya cleared his throat as he walked past a bunch of homeless people.

He walked a little further and found himself standing in front of one of the tallest buildings in that small town.

He looked down and saw some black fur on the ground. He then remembered the lady's coat. This was definitely where they were keeping Albedo.

Now how was he suppose to get in without being caught?

Kaeya looked up at the door and he saw it slowly opening, he quickly hid somewhere.

"Jesus Christ..this place is hell." Someone said, if they were coming from in there then it was definitely a Fatui member..

Kaeya peeked over to see a pretty plain looking Fatui member, he had the exact same color hair as him and he had a mask on which would cover Kaeya's face...it'd be easy to disguise as them.

I can't believe I'm about to do this..
Kaeya sighed softly.

He ran out and tackled the Fatui member.

Kaeya stripped the Fatui member and took his clothes when they passed out.

And he tied him up to a light post.

Jesus..what kind of organization makes their members wear a harness?
Kaeya groaned.

He put on the mask and untied his hair just like how the Fatui member had it.

I hope this is convincing enough.
Kaeya mustered up all his courage to go inside.

"I thought you were taking a walk?" A Fatui members voice asked from beside Kaeya.

Kaeya jumped a bit, god..how is he gonna answer this?

"Oh..I changed my mind." He said in a lower toned voice.

"Typical." The Fatui member sighed.

"Haha..yeah." Kaeya quickly walked away.

Kaeya panicked as he looked around seeing all the Fatui members..how was he suppose to find Albedo like—wait—couldn't he just ask someone?

I'll just ask the first guy that walks up to me, yes!
Kaeya slowed down his pace as he walked down the halls.

Jeez...how do they see with this stupid mask on?
Kaeya tried to fix the mask a little but he suddenly bumped into someone.

It was...Pantalone coming out of Dottore's office. Kaeya has only seen his face in the file Ayato gave him a while ago.

"Oh—I'm sorry." Kaeya back away a little to see them better.

"It's fine," Pantalone's voice seemed almost seducing.

Pantalone then raised an eyebrow "Hm? It seems like you've grown a few inches from last time I saw you." Pantalone smiled.

"If you don't mind me asking..do you know where Albedo's room is?" Kaeya asked, trying not to sound suspicious.

Pantalone's smile faded.

"You should take that mask off, it's pretty hot out today." Pantalone reached his hand over to Kaeya's mask and began lifting it off slowly.

"No!" Kaeya brought it back down, Pantalone back his hand away.

"Excuse me?" Pantalone gave him a hard look.

"Uh—I mean, no thank you. I have terrible acne today so if prefer if I didn't have to take my mask off." Kaeya laughed awkwardly.

Pantalone gave him an unimpressed expression.

"Dottore dear, where's Albedo's room?" Pantalone shouted into Dottore's office, "Three doors down!" Dottore yelled back, he sounded like he was panting.

"Three doors down you should find him." Pantalone smiled at Kaeya.

"Thank you sir." Kaeya nodded at him then headed to Albedo's room.
