Suffering.

Many people think they have suffered. And many people actually have. But there is a difference. And before you can understand true suffering, you must see or experience it first hand.

And it is not in those who are poorest or have least material items or are lonely. Because these people were never promised anything else, they never expected better.

They want for nothing, because they are grateful for what they have, for they have seen and therefore understand true suffering.

It is in those who were promised diamonds and given rocks.

In those who were promised companionship and were given isolation.

Those who were promised a home and were not even given shelter.

It is in those who were promised love and were given hatred.

In those who were promised a family and were given abandonment.

Those who were promised the truth and have been given nothing but lies.

It is in those who were promised life but given death.

In those promised the stars and were given the darkness.

Those who were promised hope, and had it pain.
