We all want more,
A small amount of fame,
For someone we admire,
Just to know our name.
We want that recognition,
We want to be noticed,
Constantly watching,
Social media notices.
You've tweeted them a hundred times,
And you've snap chatted them more,
But yet none ever reply,
So what's all the effort for.
You always have that hope,
That tiny little chance,
But it all ends in heartbreak,
When they don't even glance.
You stalk their Twitter,
Tumblr and Facebook,
Instagram, snapchat, vine,
In the hopes that they'll look.
Well let's face reality,
They aren't going to reply,
The fairytales don't exist,
They're not going to say hi.
It won't have that conversation,
You won't become best friends,
You won't even have their number,
When your daydream ends.
I've given up on being noticed,
Even by someone ordinary,
Was that too much to ask,
Did I pass my little boundary.
Don't convince me you're different,
I know you're just the same,
Because deep down inside their heart,
Everyone wants a little fame.
