Lukes POV:
We went to get breakfast, my treat. Now we're walking back to her house.
"Luke, I think we need to talk before the talk."
"Okay."
She takes in a deep breath,"I think we should just be straight forward, no beating around the bush."
"I totally agree."
"And one other thing, we're only kids to our mums, they'll tell us that were confused and we don't know what love is."
"Mary, my mum understands. She actually wants us to be together." I say shyly
"Really?"
"Yeah, even my dad and brothers think we should be together. I guess you could say they...ship us." I say shyly again
"Wait," she says "you have brothers?"
"Yeah, they're older, though, but they come around quite a lot."
"Are they coming today?"
"I think so, mum said something about bringing the household."
"I like your mum, and I can't wait to meet the rest of your family."
Finally we get to the block before hers and I remember I need Calum and Michael to be there. I pull out my phone and call Michael first.
"Clifford!"
"What the fuck do you want?"
"Be up and at Ash's in 15 minutes."
"Ugh no it's the weekend."
"Pizza."
"Pizza?"
"Pizza."
"I'll be there in 5." he whispers before hanging up.
Calum was much more persuasive.
"Calum, be at Ash's in a few minutes."
"Okay."

Mary's POV;
I open the front door and the smell of lunch cooking hits me in the face. We walk into the living room and see that everyone's already there.
Liz is sitting on the couch next to a man who I assume is Luke's dad. In two chairs next to them, are two boys who strongly resemble Luke. Calum, Michael, and Ashton are sitting in the floor, playing some card game. Pokémon, I think.
Mum comes in from the kitchen, wiping her hands on a towel.
"Glad to see you decided to come home. Ash, Mary, can you please go set the table? I've made lunch for everyone."
I look at Luke,flash a small smile,and then see Liz nudge her husband out of the corner of my eye.
Ashton walks into the dining room quietly and I follow him. Then he goes to the table and starts to extend it so it will be big enough for all of us.
I walk into the kitchen to get plates and forks, then go back and set them out in the table.
"How was your walk?" He asks, carrying two extra chairs at once
"It was fine, awfully quiet, though. Not many people were out."
"Hm." he grunts
We go back into the living room and I sit on the floor next to Luke, keeping some space between us.
"Mary, these are my brothers, Jack and Ben. And that's my dad, Andrew."
"Nice to meet you." they all say
"We've heard a lot about you," Andrew says "its always Mary this, Mary that."
"Dad..." Luke says turning as red as his shirt
"Okay," Mum says, sitting next to Liz"why are we all here today?"
I try to speak, but I can't.
I compose myself and start talking.
"We wanted to make everything clear to everyone at once."
"Well," I start "as you guys have probably noticed, Luke and I have grown pretty close within the past months."
"And within those few months, some...other feelings were developed."
I see Ashton shift a little.
"But," Luke says "Mary and I have talked over some things and we've made a decision."
"We're wanting to still be together,but not as an actual couple."
"So, fuck buddies?" Calum asks
I shoot him a look, and feel my cheeks flush.
"No, were not into that. Were 17, Calum."
The parents sit quietly, shocked.
"But Mum, Liz, Andrew, those feelings are just so strong. We don't know if it's...love or...what."
I hear Ashton and Calum laugh.
"Love?" He asks "Guys you're like 17, you don't know what love is."
I desperately look over at mom and Liz,wanting them on our side.
"Well Ash, I think what they are saying is, they don't know what love is, so they're putting their feelings away and becoming friends instead."
"I agree." Liz adds
Luke and I both nod.
"Who's hungry?" Mum asks
We go into the dining room to eat. This was did not go the way I planned.
AN: I don't know if I should make this a long story, like 40 chapters. I'm not sure...
