Luke's POV:
The guys are kind of embarrassing me right now. They made sure that Mary and I had to sit next to each other, and that we were close, very close. Michael made sure we barely had any space. It wasn't hard, since she's not that big, but we're both pretty tall so we both have long legs. It was awkward at first, but she ended up having to just cross them and put them on my lap.
I actually liked having her near me. She's pretty cool and hanging out with her isn't really hard. She's so down to earth and easygoing, even when Michael was kind of being a jerk to her, she just ignored him and went on being herself. It was almost as if she was used to having people be mean to her.
Whenever she would smile or laugh, I'd try to look at her without her noticing. She has this cute little dimple, only one, and whenever she smiles it shows up. When she laughs, her dark brown eyes light up.
I hate thinking like this. I don't want to like her, but I do. It's hard for me not to like her. She's just, she's so beautiful. I really hope she didn't overhear our conversations, but I'm sure she heard at least one. I make it so obvious that I think she's cute. While we were playing, I couldn't help but look at her. I have no idea why, but I asked her what song she wanted to hear. When she said Green Day, I couldn't help but smile a little. I saw all of the posters on her room earlier, she has a good taste of music, it's just different. There were Green Day and Nirvana posters up, and a few other bands or artists. She doesn't like just one type of music and I think that's cool. She's not going to let people tell her that she likes this type of music so she has to listen to only songs of that genre, she'll listen to anything she thinks is good.
"Mary what pizza do you want?" I hear Ashton ask.
"I guess pepperoni and bacon with extra cheese." I hear her say.
"Luke what do you want?" Ashton asks me. I don't answer because I'm still in my thoughts.
"Luke? Hey Luke!" I hear Calum yell.
"What?" I ask.
"We just asked you what pizza you wanted." Michael says.
"Oh um I'll just share with Mary, if it's fine with her."
"Yeah sure it's ok."
Ashton calls and orders the pizzas.
"Someone needs to go pick them up."
"I will." I say
"Well you'll need help. Why don't you go with him Mary?" Michael says
I shoot him a look and he just smiles at me.
"Um ok." she says.
We go out to my car and get in. It's a silent ride already, so I decide to start a conversation.
"So you really think we sound good?"
"Yeah. I don't know why Ashton always asks me to go down there, every time I do you guys sound great."
"Thanks, we've come really far since those first days. You know, you're not so bad either."
She looks at me like she's scared.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean your singing, it's not too bad."
"How have you heard my singing?"
"Well I hear you everyday I'm at your house. I can hear you from the garage, you're pretty good."
"No I'm not, I hate my singing voice. I sing too much for someone who can't."
"Whatever you say, I think you're good."
We get the pizza and go back. When we get to the house, we dig in and then all if a sudden it's time for me to go.
"I gotta go, see you guys later." I walk out of the house, get in my car and drive home.
