Alfina, Bernard, and Curtis stared at the plastic Santa as he lunged in front of the mirror, "I am Santa Claus. Boo!" Bernard had his arms behind his back, unsure about the idea. Alfina just gawked at the toy; she was too skeptical about what to make of it. Curtis, however, was getting a kick out of the toy.

"Yeah. No, no, I think that this is gonna work. Good... Good job, Curtis." Bernard chose to try and congratulate the shorter elf, but Curtis blinked at the head elf in disbelief, "Would it kill you to give a wholehearted compliment?" He retorted before turning back to the toy. Bernard's lips twitched, and a smile grazed across his face, "You're right," Curtis turned to the older in puzzlement, and Alfina frowned in confusion, "Alfina," The head elf faced the elves' protector, "Have I told you how pretty you look today?" Curtis gapped at the two, and Alfina's face turned red, "Thank you for the wholehearted compliment, Bernard." Alfina and Bernard side-glanced at the younger elf, who stood there rolling his eyes and huffed.

"Ho, ho, ho. Ho, ho, ho." The toy Santa made faces in the glass as Curtis pulled out the Santa Handbook from behind him. Alfina's eyebrow went up in surprise, "Where did he get that?" She spoke to Bernard. The tall elf glances at her from the corner of his eye, "You don't want to know..."

"Santa? I need you to look at this." Curtis holds up the book in front of him. Toy Santa moves over to Curtis and peeks at it, "All right! Nice!" The toy looks at him, unsure what he's determined to do with the text in the elf's hands.

"No. I mean, I need you to read it." Curtis informed him.

"Well, let's try to be specific, shall we?"

Alfina frowns at the toy's disrespectfulness. "Ha-ha! I'll take a look at it over at my desk." The toy Santa proclaims, snatching the book from the shorter elf's hands. Bernard and Alfina turn to Curtis, baffled, "How does he know where it is?" Bernard queried, and Alfina echoed the same question in her head.

"I programmed him that way. He has most of Santa's memories." Curtis replied, making his way to the toy Santa with Bernard and Alfina trailing behind him. The toy Santa sits in the chair and plops the book on the desk. Then, taking a magnifying glass out of the drawer, the toy Santa proceeded to open the book. "Okay, we need you to study everything that's in that book because it is the key to being Santa," Curtis instructed, slipping his glasses back in place on his nose.

"Right! I'll memorise everything in the book. I'll follow all the rules. Cos rules are very important!" Toy Santa yammered loudly, holding the magnifying glass over the book. Curtis says to the other two with a cheeky grin, "I like this guy." Alfina and Bernard roll their eyes at the short elf.

"I can barely read this." The toy mumbles. Abby comes into the room with a tray of cocoa and steps to the desk, "Hi, Santa. Uh..." She gapes at the toy in confusion and bewilderment. "Hi." The toy peers back at Abby, causing her to feel uneasy, "Oh. You look..."

"Like he got a good night's sleep." Alfina immediately declares, leaning over Abby. The female elf instantly gets the memo, "Like you got a very good night's sleep. How about a nice chocolatey cocoa?"

The toy glances at Curtis, unsure how to reply to the other elf; Curtis nods his head, and the toy Santa turns to Abby, shaking his head up and down fast with his mouth open as Abby pours the cocoa into a cup; Curtis signals for the toy Santa to close his mouth. "Careful, it's hot," Abby warns, handing the cup to the toy. Alfina leans over to Bernard, "Can he keep drinks and food down?" Bernard turns to answer but closes his mouth with a thoughtful expression, "I don't know, actually." He whispered back.

"Of course it is." Then, the toy Santa glances again at Curtis to see him pretend to drink. The plastic toy opens his mouth and downs the cocoa. Abby, Alfina, and Bernard stood with their mouths open, not blinking as toy Santa drained the cup. Finally, the toy pulls the mug away, "Aagh! Whoo!" He screeched, causing Abby and Alfina to leap at his outburst.

"That's delicious! I like cocoa! Cocoa's superior refreshment! Get me some more cocoa! Whoo!" He praised, passing Abby the cup. The female elf eyes the head elf and protector, "Right away, Santa." She veers around and walks out of the office.

"Ho, whoa! I think Santa feels a little buzz! Whoooo!" The toy tittered. Alfina rubs the bridge of her nose, feeling a headache form. Bernard clutched her hand and directed her out of the office and into the corridor, "Alfina? Are you alright?" He took her other hand and held them, reassuring her as best he could.

"I feel like something bad is going to happen, Bernard. I-I don't trust that plastic parasite." She spat out the words like venom. The head elf bobbed his head in understanding and draped his arms around her, "I know, Alfina. I don't trust the toy either." Then, peering down at the woman, the elf gave her a pleasant kiss on her forehead. The toy was still going on about the cocoa, and Alfina rested her head on Bernard's chest, "I don't like this one bit, B..." Bernard rested his chin on the twenty-year-old's head and rubbed her back in a circular motion, "Santa, please hurry..." The head elf ponders to himself. Curtis exits out of the office and frowns at the two, "What's wrong?"

"Headache, Curtis. Just a headache..." Alfina answered with a sigh, pulling away from the head elf to glimpse at the younger.
