“I’m calling Tony.”

“No !” Peter shouted, stopping Nora from reaching for her phone. “Don’t. He’ll think I’m in trouble, and then he’ll come here, and he’ll get in trouble, and-”

“You are in trouble, Peter !” She turned to Stephen and without thinking twice, she punched his arm. “What’s fucking wrong with you ? We’re not even supposed to talk to him !”

He looked at his arm for a long time, way too long, before looking back at her. “I wanted to help him. You know, because I’ve been told I was only ruining people’s lives, and he messed up my spell. And you came to New York to talk to him too.”

“Okay,” she sighed. “One, don’t blame this on me. Two, he’s a kid !”

“We’re not-” 

“Don’t,” Nora interrupted MJ. “You’re kids. All of you.” She pointed at Stephen. “You’re the worst. Does Wong know about this ?”

“He doesn’t want to be involved.”

“Of course he doesn’t.”

Peter stepped in and tried to calm Nora down. “Yeah, because Mister Strange said-”

“Doctor.”

“You’re not a doctor, Stephen.” Nora looked at Peter and sighed. “What did he say ?”

“That it was an easy spell,” Peter finished. 

“Just give me a minute,” she finally said. 

She took a few steps back and tried to think. She didn’t like any of it. Wong needed to know. Tony would probably want to know if Peter was involved in some magic stuff. But Peter was also right. If Tony showed up here when no one was supposed to talk to Peter as long as he was still on the government’s radar… 

“Is the investigation still up ?”

“Well, not really but-”

“Good. I’m calling Tony.” She grabbed her phone, only to have it immediately taken away by a flying web. “Give it back.”

“You can’t call him,” Peter begged, keeping a safe distance between him and Nora. “But you’re here, and you wanted to see me anyway. Maybe you can help us ? Right ?”

“Dude, don’t mess with her. She’s a witch,” Peter’s friend said as he was still trying to keep Nora’s phone away from her. 

“Listen to your friend, Peter. Give me the phone.”

“He’s right,” Stephen suddenly said. Nora was immensely grateful. Peter would give her phone back, and she’d call Tony. And probably tell Wong about what happened. “You can help.”

“What ?” she said, turning back to him. “Are you out of your mind ? I’m not doing anything !”

“Oh, so you want these people to attack civilians while you're at home doing… what exactly are you doing ?”

“At least I’m not breaking the walls of reality !” she shouted. “You should’ve never been allowed to learn magic in the first place. You’re a fucking danger !”

“I’m not the one hunting down people to burn them alive.”

“Very mature,” she sighed. “You should know that what I did doesn’t make this okay,” she added, moving her hand around. “How many of them are there ?”

“We don’t know.”

“What do they want ?”

“We don’t know. These two weren’t very cooperative,” Stephen said, looking at the cells. “You should try talking to them. Maybe there’s a criminal code that criminals follow.”
