Aahil explained to me how the building we were walking. In now has been around for many decades but here and there they add some modern attachments like bathrooms, lighting stuff like that.

" This building used to be strictly for law making and important meetings but recently they moved it to a different building out of the kingdom." He says while walking alongside me.

"You know, it's pretty good this country doesn't see that many tourists like other countries." He looks down at me and raises an eyebrow

"And why is that?"

"Well, think about it. While there's good that comes out of it look how much stuff this country was able to keep intact. Most places they get money and tear everything down in the face of tourism or regular travelers." He leads us out to the main center where all the stores are. Not once has he let go of my hand

"And it's kind of sad because there are only pictures left of those places. It's even worse when it was a safe place for people of color." I hear him hum in agreement as we enter one store

"Yeah, you do have a point. I would be disappointed if they got rid of the stuff I had around me growing up. While some things are meant to stay in the past the good things should be able to stay." He says in a slightly mellow tone. But a grin quickly falls on his face.

We walk up to the counter and the cashiers' eyes widen but quickly go back to normal. What was that about? I look up at him and all he does is shrug his shoulders. He quickly rushes to the back and hands him a crap ton of bags.

Aahil thanks him and we walk out.

" I'm sorry but what is going on?" He smirks but doesn't answer my question right away. Only making my patients run low.

"Before you yell at me I bought you some things." He says with a sincere tone. I stop in my tracks and try to bring him back to the store and return it.

"That's not going to work even if we go back. These are for you. If it makes you feel better it's for two events I want to take you to." There's no point in fighting it.

"Thank you, but I could have worn what was in my suitcase."

He scoffs

"Yeah, so you can bite my head off for not telling you the attire. And don't bother trying to return it." I huff in annoyance. I don't mind people spending money on me I really don't but it makes me feel uncomfortable, especially seeing as how I grew up.

Even though my sister and I grew up in the same house we had very different lives. I only got the necessary stuff bu-

" I promise you'll love it." He says dragging me out of my thoughts. I can't believe I'm thinking about such depressing things while I'm on a date way to go Jamila.

"What is it?"

" The first one is three days from now and it's an event at a museum." I send him a side-eye. "And before you say anything I planned this from the last museum date we had."

The sun starts to set and finally more people start to crowd the streets.

" I noticed how into the art you were so I thought it would be perfect. And um, the two days before you leave there is a formal event at the palace."

"WHAT!?" I say a little bit too loudly making him chuckle. I'm going to the place and this man is just now telling me I have like a week and a half left before I leave.

"Yeah, I got invited well.. A while back I did but I didn't have a date and seeing as how we are in the process of getting to know each other, why not?" He says while looking down at me with a smile on his face.

"Plus, I have something important I want to tell you but that's if you have made your decision."

"Well, we will just have to see won't we?" I bite my lip out of habit. He scoffs but doesn't say anything after.

" I will say in the beginning you were such a stuck-up cocky person." He raises his eyebrow then rolls his eyes

"No, I wasn't."

"Do you not recall how you acted on the plane?"

" Okay but could you blame me? Normally I don't have - I actually do have a lot of people admiring me."

" SEEE right their straight arrogance." He chuckles knowing I'm telling the truth. His arm snakes around my waist bringing me closer to him.

" Okay and I'm sure if you hated it you wouldn't be here right now." He says in a snarky tone I roll my eyes and move in front of him

" Yeah and I'm sure that there are things that I do that tick you off." With his arm still around my waist, he scoffs while giving me complete attention

"Yes." I move my face away from his gaze but he quickly brings my face back to his. " I don't like when you do not give me eye contact when we are talking." He says while bringing his face close to mine but quickly shifting to my ear.

" I dislike when you wear these tight things around me and other people have their eyes on you." A sudden chill shoots down my spine

"And I think we both know only my eyes should be in you habibti." He leaves me with a kiss on the cheek and resumes walking. I would have stood there stunned but he had my hand in his.

So I ended up being pulled. If we weren't around people I'm sure he would not hold back.

"False I would." Did I say that out loud? He chuckles, then looks down at me

" While yes I would love to ravage you till there's nothing left." He says with his voice filled with nothing but lust. "But I don't want to rush things. I want to take our time and hopefully get to know each other more."

Not even realizing I was holding my breath I let it go. He looks at me with an eyebrow cocked up but just shakes his head

"But like I said at the beginning of our meeting what I want is you. And I will stop at nothing to be with you." He brings my hand up to his lips and places a soft kiss on the top making sure to keep eye contact with me.

If I had pearls I would be clutching them right now...
