"My love, when did you say they would be over?" I called out from the kitchen. Aahil cleared his throat and walked in to observe. "They should be here in an hour...habibti didn't I tell you not to-" I quickly leaned over and grabbed my phone to turn the volume up for the speaker that was currently playing afrobeats.

I smirked when he scoffed at my reaction. All he wants me to do is lay in bed all day, and I can't do that. There's stuff that needs to get done and I can't leave it all up to him. " I didn't know I married a comedian." He walked closer, wrapped his hands around my waist and swayed with me as I danced to the music. "Who else would humor you if I didn't?" I said while reaching for the seasoning to put in the stew.

"I told you, you didn't need to make dinner for tonight... you didn't even need to make the food for today." I closed the pot and tapped his hand so that I could get into the fridge. " I wanted to it's the first time we are having 'guests' over... well with the size...plus I can't have them going hungry!"

"No one told them to come here on an empty stomach." He said nonchalantly and shrugged his shoulders. I gasped and swatted his arm making him laugh. "No, but really habibti you didn't need to do all of this..." I grabbed the water I was looking for and closed the door behind me. I placed the water down and held the counter top taking in a sharp breath. He walked up behind me and kissed the back of my neck while massaging my back.

"It's still not a contraction Aahil." He shushed me.

"But what I'm doing feels good right?...so shush and enjoy." I chuckled and let my head drop down and relax. " I have a couple more things to do in the birthing room then we are all ready."

I raised a brow as the pain passed and stood up. "Who is we Aahil? I've come to the conclusion that they will be staying in there." I hissed feeling a sharp kick, "fucking hell dude." I felt him smirk against my cheek and I groaned.

" I don't think they liked that habibti." He chuckled and moved his hand around for his hourly belly rubs. I moved back to the stew, but groaned, feeling my feet beginning to hurt.

"Can you get the chair pl-"

"No go sit, I'll finish this."

"You better not throw it out!" I said in a threatening tone. He kissed my cheek and patted my hip.

" I'm not now go sit before I carry you over there myself!" He said sternly before untying the apron around me. I grabbed my water and happily sat on the chair. I took a large sip and closed my eyes briefly only to open them back up, feeling the rapid movement from the twins.

I placed my hand on my belly and started rubbing circles on the side. " I know you guys are ready to come out but can you cool it on the fake contractions? I still have to finish getting ready so stay put for a bit." I shook my head feeling the movement calm down. That's the nicest thing they've done to me so far.

I fan my shirt trying to get some cool air inside, but nothing was working. "Aahil, can you watch the pot for me? I'm gonna go take a shower."

He turned around and gave me a confused look. "Shower? habibti, they won't be here for a while."

I rolled my eyes and stood up, "I'm hot and sticky if I stay like this just be prepared to deal with a very cranky-"

"No, go! Go shower!" he shooed me away making me laugh. "But if you take too long I'm coming in."

"I wish you would! I told you to watch the pot!" he scoffed.

"Funny that you don't believe I can do both at the same time." I opened my mouth to say something but I quickly closed it back making him laugh.
