Another rainy day in Seattle the cool autumn breeze touches my nose as I close the windows in my bedroom for the day.
I normally open them all up before the weather gets too cold so I can air the place out.
My pumpkin pie candle was burning by the window seal. I slipped off my cardigan now that the window is closed and climbed back into bed.
Aahil joined shortly after with two cups of tea in his hand. One apple cinnamon and the other peppermint.
" Gosh, I miss rainy days like this." He says while placing his mug on " his side" and mine next to me.
He climbs into bed unexpectedly laying between my legs with his head rest right below my boobs.
I chuckle at his choice of position but quickly take my hands and play with his hair
"Even though the rain does mess my hair up when I straighten it's really peaceful on days like these." He hums in agreement as he shoves his arms under my back pulling me in closer.
I wish I could stay like this forever. This man has completely undoubtedly had me sprung.
"You know, if I didn't have to be king I would leave everything to be with you." He says while adjusting himself trying to get into a more comfortable position.
" I wouldn't let you do that," I say and his head springs up. He didn't like my response but it's the truth. I wouldn't let him give up his whole life just for me I would feel bad.
" And why not? If I could give you the world I would." I place my fingers in his hair once again and he puts his head back down in defeat.
" Because I love you too much to let you throw everything you worked so hard for just for me." Fuck.... I didn't mean for that to slip out. I stop massaging his head and he sits up completely. I avoid eye contact at all causes.
Well, that was until he took his finger and turned my face to him.
And there he was smiling like a mad man. I let out a nervous chuckle.
"You said it."
" Oh, you caught that?" I say while trying to shrink myself but it doesn't work because now I'm on top of him.
How this man has all this strength baffles me.
" I did." He says in a teasing tone but quickly wraps his arms around me. I almost melt into his chest as I lay there listening to his heartbeat.
" but I'm glad you said it even if you didn't I knew you felt the same way habibti." He kisses my forehead and rubs my back
"You're stuck with me forever I hope you know that." He says while caressing the side of my face
"Psh more like you're stuck with me," I say while chuckling
"But all jokes aside I'm really happy to hear you say that habibti." He wraps his arms back around me and rubs my back.
"Mmm you know, if it wasn't morning time and you kept doing that I would be asleep right now." He chuckles and continues to rub my back
" Well, what can I say that's my specialty. I can put you to sleep with my-" I cut him off by giving him the side eye warning him not to continue. I earn a laugh.
"That reminds me next week my friends are coming over for Friendsgiving. They said they wanted to officially meet you. And I told them that's up to him if he's gonna be here."
He scoffs and takes a sip of his tea
" Sure I mean I met them before. They are very nice women. After all, I'm sure if they didn't tell you to pursue me you wouldn't." I chuckle while burying my face in his chest. Gosh, I feel like those school girls who saw their crush looking at them and they said hi.
