I clasp my bra together as shea butter baby plays in the background. After hours of searching last night, I finally found the jazz joint I used to go to when I was younger.
I chuckle to myself about how I was even allowed there in the first place.
But this place is close to my heart. It took me years to even open up to my friends about that place much less about my childhood.
And the fact that this man this wonderful man makes everything just pour. Pour as if there wasn't a wall holding it back in the first place.
If I didn't know how to keep my thoughts to myself I would have said that I loved him. Gosh is this what it's supposed to feel like? I feel like I'm going crazy.
I hear a knock on the bathroom door and I open it not caring that I was still in my undergarments. It's not like he hasn't seen it before.
"It's open!" I call out the door soon opens and I'm met with a well-dressed man that could make any woman fall to their knees with just one look.
"How do I look?" My eyes slowly trail down from the top of his head to his feet that did not have any shoes on.

I couldn't help but let out an unstable breath but I quickly regained myself bringing my attention back to his eyes.
"Wonderful baby." He smirks and leans against the door frame.
"Hm, baby? I like the sound of that." I clip my hair up knowing it's going to cause trouble when I put my dress on.
I walk past him while letting my hand brush against his chest. I needed to get dressed and do some light makeup.
He watched as I powered my face observing how I did everything.
He clears his throat and I look at him for a short second before turning back to add my finishing touches.
" judging by how little you're talking today I presume this is very important?" I know me too well.
"You got me." I let out a small chuckle before continuing.
" I used to go to the place I will be taking you tonight all the time. Well, when I couldn't go home or run away for the night." I see him nod his head and give me a slight smile.
"Well, thank you for letting me in. I really appreciate it."
" This place is very close to my heart... it took me years to even tell my friends about it." I put in my earrings and walk over to my dress hanging up on the back of my door.
