It felt as if the days got swept from right under my feet as soon as I got off that call with Aahil, and here I am finishing up my final touches making sure I have everything.

Even though his family doesn't celebrate Christmas I still wanted to be nice and get presents for everyone most of them consisted of jewelry and other things they might like.

Then I made sure to make a mental note to get some wine. When I land, I can't show up empty-handed. Even if they don't drink I wouldn't mind them giving it away, but it would be rude of me.

not bring anything.

Before I knew it I was in a car on my way back to Inan to see my boyfriend.

Even though my friends and I don't really do anything for Christmas we always get together on the first snow and that so happened to be today. I felt bad but they said not to there's always next year etc

The lady on the intercom announces what planes are boarding and mine so happened to be listed first. The nerves were getting to me but no matter what my ass was getting on that plane even if I had to crawl my way to my seat and look like a fool.

I already knew flying back was going to be hell. Not only would I be a crying mess but I would then have to deal with being anxious.

I smile as I pass the flight attendants and let out a sigh not wanting the plane to take off but here goes nothing

-

If the floor was clean I would be kissing it. Whoever said turbulence wasn't that bad or anything to worry about they need to get by a damn door because that was FALSE.

For fucks shakes I probably look like a damn newborn giraffe walking off the plane.

I lean my bad against one of the walls just so I can regain my composure. I didn't even realize they were playing music. Now that I think about it did they play music last time?

What song is this? I try to slow down my labored breath to listen and then it hit me

It's Christmas music from Charlie Brown to be exact. I let out a scoff and smirk.

Now it's time to secure the wine. It was late in the afternoon and I knew I wouldn't be meeting everyone tonight. I don't even know if they all live in the same place. -

I take a deep breath and try to shake the nerves off. I got this...... YES, I GOT THIS!

I grab my carry-on from beside me and begin walking to one of the stores hopefully they are open.

The Christmas music echoed throughout the building. I took a quick second to observe my surroundings now noticing there were subtle decorations strung up on the ceiling of the grand airport.

Something makes me feel like this Christmas will be different than the ones I've had years before.

_

Thankfully the store wasn't closed but they were about to close so I had to quickly grab what I wanted. They boxed it up nice and secure so it wouldn't rattle all over the place.

Strangely enough, the airport was basically packed once I arrived at the baggage claim.

Aahil told me repeatedly not to pack heavy so I brought one checked bag and two decent-sized carry-ons which is completely opposite from what I originally gonna bring.

As I make my way to the exit I look around carefully. He said there should be someone standing with my name on a sign but I don't see anyone.

Confusion was written all over my face and if my hands weren't full I would be scratching my head. But just as I was about to reach for my phone I noticed a tall man in black holding a bright red sign.
