Maybe things felt like they were moving fast because there was so much that needed to be done or events coming up but I didn't like it.

Here I stand in the dressing room while numerous amounts of women worked on me how they managed to all do that. I have no clue my hair was done from yesterday so there was no need to spend time on that even though they insisted.

But I'm gonna have to have a serious talk with whoever made it a rule to wear all of this regalia. I don't care if they are no longer living I will simply travel to that realm and have a chat because this shit was heavy.

Maybe it was the fact that the babies had grown bigger within the time I first tried it on but at least so I've been told this is the only time I will need to wear this much.

" Mrs. Bashar would you like anything to eat or drink? The catering just got here." I gave her a yes and made sure to say thank you before she left.

Two of the girls worked on making sure all the pleats were even before I had down how that was going to work. I have no clue. But I appreciate the details that go into everything and how they can pass the regalia down to someone new each time.

The woman came back into the room with various little snacks wrapped up on a plate and a drink in her other hand.

"Thank you." I smiled wildly at her as she put it down on the vanity. Today was going to be a long day.

I carefully sit down and pick one of the sandwiches I groan as one of the twins decided to push against something. If I didn't have all these layers on anyone would be able to see it clearly. It took everything in me not to take my finger and poke back but the last thing I want is to damage anything

I winced as the man dragged the blade across my palm. After an intense five-hour session of reciting prayers and being blessed, it was now time for me to sign my name and then bind myself to Aahil. Most of the council hated the fact that I requested for some things to be switched around. They probably would have been more accepting if I told them about the pregnancy but until Aahil and I both sit down and decide when to announce it I don't want things to get out

Originally both of our palms were supposed to be cut then he joined hands mixing our blood together, but I wasn't sure if that was safe and I wasn't going to risk it for the sake of tradition.

The crowd that was watching us was quiet. I'd never been to something like this so I have no clue if that was customary. Even after the intense research to prepare me for this day there were still things left unknown.

I signed my name in the book that held previous names of past royals who took on higher positions. I wanted to look at all the names and seeing how everyone's. Blood was here I felt like I was almost intruding on something sacred.

But was it really an intrusion if I'm joining them?

He instructed us both to squeeze our palms and have our blood mixed together in the bronze cup signifying that we were one. The man walked away for a second and came back carefully holding a green velvet pillow with a glass box sitting perfectly on top. He turned to Aahil and said something to him.

Aahil promptly lifted the glass up handing it off to someone standing nearby. He turned to me and carefully picked up the crown

"On your knees", the man whispered harshly. I raised an eyebrow and started to lower myself but Aahil stopped me not with his hands but with his eyes. He moved closer to me and directly placed the crown on my head.
