My apartment wasn't big at all it was nice and comfortable short for small. At first, I was worried about letting Aahil stay here since his place is way much better but he pretty much made himself at home which made me happy.

I mean not that I should worry about it. To begin with, a person who cares about you wouldn't shame you for your living conditions. I would find a better place but Seattle is simply too damn expensive. I would have to move out and find a different place in Washington.

Meaning finding another job and starting over.

I feel hands wrap around my waist as I take my multivitamins.

"You look beautiful habibti." He says into my ear. I take another sip of water making sure everything went down and turn to face him.

" And you look very handsome are you ready?" He kisses my lips making me chuckle from my lipstick leaving a mark on him.

"Yeah, I'm excited to see what you have planned for today." As promised we are going to be out pretty much all day today. Starting with breakfast.

I walk over to the hallway table where I put my mail and other important things such as my keys that always seem to disappear.

" Have you seen my keys?" I say while moving things around. I hear him chuckling in the kitchen.

"Yup, they are in the fridge." He jingles the keys and hands them over. What the hell were they doing in the fridge?

"You know, I'm always misplacing these things even if I had them glued on me they would disappear somehow.

"Thank you!"

I slide on my sandals and he trails behind me. We were all dressed and ready to go. There's no point wasting time when we have very little of it.

We exit the elevator and walk to my car parked in the garage. Now I might not have the latest car but it's still nice. I worked my ass off to get it. sooner or later, though, I'll need to get a new one

"You know how to drive right?" he says in a condescending tone. Is he forgetting that I'm the one driving?

"I don't know does the moon exists?" He scoffs and holds his hands up

" It is too damn early for your remarks Aahil" He was hesitant about getting in the car but he eventually gets in so we can go. He looks over at me wanting to say something but he doesn't speak he just smirks.

"Okay, what can I get you two to eat today?" the waitress asks while making eye contact with me.

"Mmm, I'll have the stack of buttermilk pancakes the ones that come with the side of hash browns, and the omelet. Oh and apple juice." The older woman gives me a wide smile and then nods her head moving on to Aahil.

"I guess I'll have the same thing," he says unsure. Even though he's been to the states many times he doesn't really eat the food like that. I don't blame him not everything tastes good.

"trust me the food tastes really good. Here you have my word." I give him a reassuring smile hoping he ends up liking the food.

"Okay, I'm trusting you," he says in a warning tone but I know he's only joking. "Okay, so what's the plan for today, Ms. Barlowe?"

"Well, after breakfast I was thinking we can go to the river relax for a bit dip our toes in." I will glue my fingers for emphasis he chuckles to himself.

"Then by four, we head to the movies, and lastly dinner." He nods his head and fiddles with the ring on his pinky.

I never see him without it so it must mean something important. From what I could see there was writing on the band with some unrecognizable gems.
