Text Slangs In Korean

Texting a Korean friend or maybe just enjoying a nice chat with a friend in Korean? Here are some text slangs that are often used in South Korea. Remember that all of these are INFORMAL! Use them only when texting a friend or a close family member. Let's get into it! 

ㅇㅇ = 응 - eung = yes

ㄴㄴ = 노노 - no-no = no

ㄱㅊ = 괜찮아 - gwaen-chan-ah = it's okay

ㄱㅅ= 감사 - kam-sa = thanks

ㅎㅎ/ㅋㅋ = 하하/ㅋㅋㅋ - ha-ha/kkk (ㅋㅋㅋ is the Korean way of laughing) = hahaha

ㅊㅋ = 축하해 - chuk-ha-hae ("h" in "ha" is silent) = congratulations

ㅗ = fuck you (looks like the middle finger)

ㅅㄹㅎ = 사랑해 - sa-rang-hae = I love you
