Straight off the bat, staionery in Korean is 문구 - mungu

Here are some words that you'll need to know when talking about stationery or school supplies:

Pencil = 연필 - yeon-pil

Paper = 종이 - jong-i (in pronounciation it sounds more like: chong-i)

Blackboard = 칠판 - chil-pan

Eraser = 지우개 - ji-u-gae

Desk = 책상 - chaek-sang

Chair = 의자 - uee-ja

Ruler = 자 - ja

Texbook = 책 - chaek

Homework = 숙제 - sok-je

Pen = 펜 - pen

Scissors = 가위 - ga-wi

Pencil case = 필통 - pil-tong

Color pencil = 색연필 - saek-yeon-pil ("saek/색" alone means "color" and "yeon-pil/연필" alone means "pencil" like we saw earlier. Put together: color pencil. easy right? Check out the lesson about colors in Korean for more information about colors)

Notebook = 공책 - kong-chaek

Tape = 테이프 - te-i-peu

Highlighter = 형광펜 - hyeong-kwang-pen

Glue = 풀 - pul
