What a mystery you are to me,

I can't seem to unfold

I'm scared to go deeper,

For what stories will be told?

Darasimi's POV

Waking up to my 6am alarm really annoys me but what can I do, I have a 9am to 6pm class today straight so I can tell that it will be a long day and it's just Monday. Praise and I usually wake up the same time and have our prayer time. The weekend had gone by so fast I had gone back to work immediately after meeting Adeyemi and also on Sunday after church service. Sitting up right with my pillow behind me, I pick up my bible to study.

I chose to read about David again to find the answers to my questions. Reading the same chapter over and over again about when Samuel the prophet anointed David and he had asked David's father Jesse, if he had any more sons. The fact that Jesse didn't even remember his last born until he was asked just because he never expected the kingship to fall on him, made me think that height, shape, size and what you have materially can never be a reason why God chooses people. I think it's because of David's close relationship with him, that he made him king, he even said he was a man after his own heart leading me to conclude that David and God didn't really have a specific place to meet but whenever David would go to shepherd his flocks, he would just begin his conversation with God. Jotting down my answers and writing down all the things God said in the chapter, I make a mental note to always call on God even outside my room and then I pray.

I was done praying by 7am, so I woke Grace to pray and have her bath while I put spaghetti on the fire and pick out my outfit for the day.

Deciding to go with a black jean trouser and a wine turtle neck top, I quickly sweep the room since we alternate it every day. I stepped into the bathroom once grace was out, I brush my teeth and have my bath. When I was done, I stepped out to see Grace had already worn her school uniform. Praise entered the bathroom next, so I put on my outfit and pair it with black sneakers. Packing my braid up in a ponytail, I wear my gold rim earrings and then I pick up my notes for the day, my phone and purse and place them in my bag.

By the time I was done, Praise was already dressing up; she wore a black skirt with a check shirt pairing it with a lace up sandals and Grace was putting her books in her bag. I move to the kitchen to pack Grace's food into her food flask and set it into her lunch bag. Praise and I quickly eat up before deciding it was time to go.

We left the house and walked to our junction, where I put Grace into a cab that goes to her school.

"Bye momma" she waves at me and I kiss her forehead all the while getting a few curious stares, what can I say, I had gotten used to them by now. I know it's weird having a daughter that could pass as my junior sister but like I always say, life happens and although I hate the way I had her, I promised myself to always love her more than anything in the world.

"Today is going to be a long day, at least our practical's start next week" Praise says as we enter a cab to the school.

"You're right, I'm already tired for today and we haven't started yet. I really want to go back and sleep" I usually don't complain but I was feeling so tired I could sleep for a whole day.

"Will you go to the shop today?" she asks and honestly, I didn't want to.

"Maybe, just for 30mins to close up" I say sighing and place my head on Praise's shoulder

"Don't sleep in the cab, I don't have the strength to carry you" she says removing her shoulder making me pout

"You're wicked" I reply with a sad pout and hit her laps lightly. We get to the car park and get down going to our class.
