Once we were done dressing up, Lola and I went downstairs to see Mrs. Coker rushing in from the patio.

"We have to leave now, as we cannot afford to be late, and oh, dear, you look great," She hastily spoke while smiling at me.

I looked at the woman who was supposed to be either in her late 50s or early 60s in awe. She was wearing a white jacket over a simple black sleeveless top tucked into black wide-leg trousers. She paired it with white wedges and a white hand purse. Her hair was curled, and her makeup was simple, and I couldn't help but want to be as beautiful as her at that age.

"Ma'am, the car is ready," the butler I had seen when I first came, said as he stepped to open the door. Mrs. Coker nodded and pushed us out of the house.

In truth, a black BMW was waiting for us with the door open. We entered the car, and the driver took off.

"The concert starts in 45 minutes, and the drive is 30 minutes away. I hope we make it on time," Mrs. Coker said worriedly, making me worried as well.

This would be the first time I would be attending one of Adeyemi's biggest concerts abroad. His agency usually conducted small concerts in Nigeria, but they were mostly busy working on the new album. I honestly didn't know how he could keep up with work, music, his life, me, and Grace. I admired his tenacity and strength. He was the reason I wanted to always grow. He motivated me to keep going, no matter how difficult things got.

"We'll get there on time, Mum, stop worrying. You're making me nervous," Lola replied with a pout, making us chuckle.

"Dara, this must be your first time leaving your daughter, right? How is the separation experience?" Mrs. Coker asked me. I thought about it. This wasn't actually my first time.

"It's not really my first time. Well, it's my first time leaving her to travel abroad, but during my first year of school, I didn't take her with me. That was the hardest, but I had to get used to it because she was in the middle of the school year, and I didn't just want to uproot her at that time. Besides, the Ayobamis always took care of her like she was their grandchild, so I wasn't complaining. Also, since Yemi entered our lives, she has grown up so much. She would remove all my excuses for allowing him to take me out." I said and chuckled at the end.

"She sounds like a sweet girl. I would love to meet her," Mrs. Coker replied with a smile. I nodded and smiled widely when it gave me an idea.

I took out my phone and decided to do a video call with my Grace. I had gotten her a phone because she needed one, and so I could always talk to her directly.

"Mummmmyy, hhii. I don't know what time it is there, or I would have greeted." Grace's voice boomed, making me chuckle at her cuteness even at her age. Her diction had greatly improved, and I had Yemi to thank for that once again.

She had a cute smile on her chocolate face and was wearing a white top over blue denim jeans.

"Hi, baby, it's almost 7 pm over here. How are you? How were your lessons today?" I raised my brow in question.

"I'm doing well. I only had math lessons today, and Mr. Johnson is taking it very well, so I don't have to be worried. It looks easy," She said and shrugged.

"That's good, baby. I called because someone wants to say hi to you. It's Uncle Yemi's mum and sister, you remember Aunty Lola, right?" I said and moved the phone so she could see Lola.

"Yes. Good evening, Aunty Lola. How are you?" Grace said shyly, making me shake my head at her antics. She had met Lola when she insisted she followed me to Yemi's office one day. They really bonded, but she was still a bit shy around her.

"Hi baby, I'm fine, thank you. I can see you're doing well. I promise to take you anywhere you wanna go, like I did the last time, okay?" I snapped my eyes to Lola incredulously because I remembered the last time they both left Yemi's office only to come back with a car full of junk food, clothes, shoes, and bags. Yemi had to drive us back home himself. Grace looked guilty, but I knew it was Lola who spoiled her.

"Alright, that's enough. Now, I want you to meet Mrs. Coker, Uncle Yemi's mum." I took the phone away from Lola's face and gave the phone to Mrs. Coker.

They chatted and laughed, and I was surprised when Mrs. Coker told Grace to call her grandma. It warmed my heart that they were willing to accept her even when she wasn't their blood. By the time they were done, she was also promising to take her anywhere she wanted once they met. I groaned at that because I felt like they were going to spoil her.

We ended the call, and soon enough, we were at the venue. It was a very, very big stadium. Yemi had said they were using the City Ground stadium. I honestly didn't know how they wanted to turn a stadium into a concert arena or how they even got access to it.

The driver pulled up at the backstage entrance, and the security guard opened the door and helped us inside. The place was so big, but it had many rooms. Before I knew it, we were shown to Yemi's dressing room. As soon as I entered, I saw him stand up, and I was in his embrace.

"I missed you," he whispered. I felt shy and hid my face in his shirt. There were many people inside the dressing room, and I recognized his manager, Mr. Wembry, smiling softly at us. I had met him when Yemi forced me to go for another three of his recordings. He was a nice man with a bald head, chubby skin, and brown eyes.

"Yemi, people are staring," I whispered, and hid my face deeper into him. He just chuckled and pulled away, but kept his hand on my shoulder. He smelled like orange juice and made me very hungry.

"Hi mum, Lola. I'm glad you guys made it on time," He said with a small smile, keeping me close to him.

I used the chance to look at him and noticed he was wearing ash colored cargo pants, a white shirt, and an ash jacket over it. I saw that we were matching except for the color, and my eyes snapped again to Lola. She noticed my glare and hid behind her mum. Before I could say anything, he bent to my level and whispered into my ear

"I have a surprise for you," He said, making me look at him curiously. He just shrugged, turned me to look at the door, and said, 'Come in. '

My eyes widened when I saw the dark hand of Mrs. Ayobami open the door, and Grace running in to hug me. I stood there, shocked as my family came in, all laughing at my expression.

"Surprise, mummy," Grace shouted, holding my waist.

"How, when did you guys get here?" I managed to say without stuttering. I turned to Yemi for an explanation, but he just shrugged.

"Sometimes, you forget I'm a billionaire," He shook his head, but my jaw snapped open as I turned my gaze to my family, who took turns in hugging me.

"Making him man up to ask you out was the best decision of my life," Mr. Ayo whispered. They left me to greet the Coker's who I just noticed Yemi's dad was among. Where did he come from?

Before I could say anything again, the director came to announce Yemi was on in 5 minutes. So we all filed out of the room. As we got to the entrance where he would climb the stage. Yemi turned and pecked my forehead.
