Author's Note

Hello everyone! I am SupIAmMark and we are now finally at the final page; we are now at the end of Alter-native and I must say, this story had an amazing run. This story started back at February of last year and since then, it really has come a long way and this is one of the stories that I find unique and different but still, it gives the same and usual vibe I always give to my stories and I really am proud of this one. As what I remember, the goal of Alter-native as a story was just to focus on the life of the alters, the life of sex workers whose life are hidden from who they actually are but as I keep thinking about how much more I can do with this story, I expanded the meaning of what "alternative" is and it suddenly defined how all people have a life of their own and within their life, there is a side of them that they would hide from people because it is the messiest part of their life that they are worried about people not accepting. We had so much characters in this story and I am proud how everyone suddenly had their different struggles in life in a way that they are hiding a side of them. Sam, Henry and Mason were simply what defines an Alter, they kept their profile low in that side of them because they were afraid to be judged and since the beginning of that side of their life being revealed, everyone else was revealed for who they are and that was the start of the problems that would connect with each other including some storylines that has always been there but are just starting to be shown. Honestly, that is what I was the proudest about, the way everything suddenly got connected with each other, everybody somehow had a purpose and they all got to do something to have this story continue forward. Besides Sam and Mason's alter life being revealed, Sam and Jameson being together as a couple was the start of everyone else's revelation. Gail who is Jameson's ex outed Sam's alter life which made Sam hint everyone on who Gail is as a person and that is her life with a secret relationship with an old man who provides her so much in life. Jameson and Sam's relationship revealed Kyler's surprising backstory and connection with Sam which made Jameson and Sam's relationship strong yet complicated to move forward because the more they continue their relationship, the more Kyler show who he really is to Sam's life which resulted in his obsession that led into Kyler taking advantage of Sam and breaking his friendship with Kyler. Sam's revelation sparked interest to Baron which was a start of the branch plot between Mason and Baron because they seemed to like each other before but the timing was basically wrong, Baron's interest in becoming an Alter also blocked the progress of their relationship because it became difficult for them to understand each other especially that Mason also is starting to have his own storyline where he is actually taken advantage by the jocks of the school including Bentley who pays him to take advantage of him and to add to that, Parker happens to film that specific abuse which was also his beginning of involvement in the whole story. On the other hand, Henry and Mason's friendship also was great until Henry became close to Baron which Mason wanted him to be responsible and be a guide to Baron's decisions in becoming an Alter which also was messy as well. From all of these plots connecting well, I was so proud of how far Alter-native can go and I continued it by revealing all their secrets to each other which results to Gail not being actively seen because she is embarrassed, Clint liking Gail results in him siding on her and being against everyone else including Sam and Jameson. Parker tries to redeem himself especially Mason got hospitalized after Jameson and Kyler's fight which also was the lowest point of Sam because that fight was when he was taken advantage of. Mason figuring out about what happened to Sam made him mad at Kyler so much and on the other hand, Baron starts to see Parker too connected to Baron which results in Parker somehow admitting his fault and also admits that he became a victim to redeem himself for Mason which Baron decided to avenge Mason by risking his own dignity by meeting up which Bentley which did not actually go well. It was actually the real revelation of all their secrets and on the other hand, the same thing for Gail because at the point where Gail tried to end things with Mr. Marlon, that is when she was taken advantage and instead of Clint trying to help her, he became involved in filming the rape with Bentley himself. That was somehow the fall of everybody as everyone's secrets have been revealed in prom and people trying to redeem himself like Clint led to the destruction of the whole prom which was also a set up where Stevie was killed, the only girl who never was involved in any problems died in the fires of prom. Oh God! I am not usually the one who tells the whole story again by the end of a story but all these connected storylines coming up with one big story is just a proof of how smoothly Alter-native went well. All the struggles being shown turned into one big destruction of everybody to each other until it became inescapable and unstoppable and that is what made this story best, it is because one small detail of someone's life can be a big deal and some people involved in that detail could also reveal them as well and everything is a butterfly effect. All struggles, all addictions, everything that people would do and risk to earn money, this story was that and I will always be proud of it. I would also like to mention Desiree because I never mentioned her on the amazingness of the storyline of Alter-native but she has always been Sam's loving sister who was ready to fight anytime. Even Jameson, as much as he is also the start of everything, he struggled to earn money but he tried to find a way for him to survive in what people say a decent way of finding money but what makes Jameson great is he never judged anybody for how other people earn money, especially his boyfriend, he always found himself equal in struggling with life and I find that beautiful for him. He still becomes like everybody else and I am proud of Jameson, what a good boyfriend he was. Damn, showing Jameson being one with everybody is a great way to end this, because in the end, there's really no competition on who struggled more or not, who had a deeper story to tell or not, it really is all about how things affect us in the end and that makes everyone a victim of what they are struggling for. That may even be the moral lesson of the story, from this twisted and complicated story, I think nothing would have happened like this if everyone respected each other and everyone could have just been understanding friends because everything will be alright with friends who would fight for you. That is the message this story will leave to all of you as this story end, I hope we all know now how a small part of a life of a person would mean so much that it shouldn't be interfered with and instead, always respect who they are because with or without a secret life that we are hiding, we all should be equal and respect for what's right is the main goal to achieve it. As I say this, I would want to say that I will miss what I did in this story but I think that is enough for them to struggle on because Sam, Jameson, Mason and the rest of gang deserves the have better opportunities so... this is the end for their struggles and I hope they finally find peace where past never haunts them again. So yeah, I would like to thank everyone that supported and liked this series as much as I do and I really will be missing how deep this story is despite how simple it felt like writing it. Maybe it is because of how I know what I wanted to do with this story and the need to spread the message about how different people have different lives and yeah! As this story ending, I think I really did succeed in what I want for Alter-native and one last time, thank you all for supporting Alter-native.

Always remember to be who you are, embrace it if you know it is for what's right. Let yourself be surrounded by people who cares because that is what Sam, Jameson, Gail, Mason and the rest of the gang taught us. This has been Alter-native for 5 Great Seasons and as much as it is always sad to see how stories end, let's just think they are in a good place now so... this is Alter-native finally signing off!
