"Remember what I told you! We are nothing, we are free to do whatever we want." That was what set you off. Did he really say that you were nothing?

"Huh? So now we are nothing?! Remember that we are married."

"Did you just forget the deal, princess?" You saw red all of the sudden and in an instant knew that you wouldn't be able to hold it in any longer.

"So now that's your excuse for making out with that commoner?" Even saying those words hurt you as if you were been stabbed with a bare knife. It hurt so much, and tears threatened to fall down your flushed cheeks.

How could you be so stupid? Accepting this marriage?

It was a big mistake! But you accepted because you wanted your freedom for once and for all.

And because you were sure that you wouldn't fall in love for someone like him.

At least that's what you thought, but you were obviously wrong, because you had fallen head over heels for him.

You had fallen for Prince Jay.

Jay just stayed quiet at your words, why couldn't he just tell you something? A single word. Whichever thing he could say.

"Say something for fuck's sake!" He just stared at you, looking lost and confused.

"Say something!" Your hand flew to his cheek, giving him a slap that echoed through the room.

Your eyes were teary, and some tears slipped down your cheeks.

Jay felt that what he was doing was the right thing because, in the end, he was trying to avoid a disappointment from your part. Maybe, he just wasn't for you...

"Princess, please don't do something stupid!" You had run to the lake to calm yourself down. A few days passed since the fight you had with Jay. You guys hadn't talked since then, which made you more heartbroken than you already were.

Naeun, as always was right behind you.

You actually didn't notice your surroundings at the time, as a few tears slipped down your cheeks once again.

"Y/N, please be careful." Naeun noticed how your feet traveled through the frozen lake. You didn't even notice the cracks on the ice that were an alarming sign.

You continued walking even though your heeled boots were making the ice break more and more.

And as the ice cracked once more, you felt yourself sinking into a liquid surface, and didn't even have time to scream out of terror or help.

At first, the water felt freezing cold between your skin, but after your failed attempts of going back up, you felt it go warm underneath your skin. You loved how everything just seemed so blue and peaceful.

So dreamy...

You felt like going to sleep, just like your dad sang you that lullaby to lull you to sleep.
