Jaehyun Fluff (Ten makes a quick apperance)

Being in best friends with Jaehyun was amazing being secretly in love with him for how long you could remember on the other hand was not so amazing. Especially as you saw the parade of girls that were so into him running around trying to get noticed by him some of them got noticed by him and that broke your heart. You never showed Jaehyun how much you were hurt and you were even giving him advice telling him how to get his crush to like him. You gave him advice when he and his girlfriend had arguments. You went shopping with him for his girlfriend's basically tortured yourself willingly for this boy. You were there for him on his bad days and he was there for you when you were down. You had so many insiders and codewords that to some people it sounded like you were talking a completely different language. Some people even thought you were a couple because of how close you were. You hated those times. Not because you couldn't imagine it you imagined it a lot of times but you hated your's and Jae's response. You both laughed and you always said no that would be weird even though you were sure your eyes were screaming I love him and that's what you wanted to do. You wanted to scream loudly look at him and scream at his face that you love him for as long as you two were friends that you hated helping him with his relationships but you did anyway because you loved him and you wanted him to be happy. But you never did.

You let your eyes wander around the party you were. You quickly found Jae standing in a doorframe talking to a girl a bright red plastic cup in his hand. He was smiling and the girl was just like all the others. Grinning at him brightly acting cute when he was making a joke and standing way too close to him.

' why are you doing this to yourself?' you heard a familiar voice right behind you. You turned around. Ten was smiling at you pushing a red cup in your hand. Without even questioning you took a sip. The strong alcohol burned your throat but warmed your stomach.

'What do you mean?' you asked and he nudged your shoulder laughing a little.

'C'mon I know about your little crush' your eyes widened. 'Don't worry your secret's safe with me.'

'I doubt that' you answered dry and Ten scoffed. 'Please don't tell him i don't want things to get awkward.'

'Why? I can understand that you are afraid but why do you literally torture yourself? You help him with all his relationships. I can't imagine how painful is to see him with all this girls' you gulped and took another big sip from the cup practically emptying it. Ten grabbed a bottle from a nearby table and filled your cup again. ' so why are you doing this to yourself.' you took another sip before you answered him.

‚That's love' you whispered and he looked confused. 'to love someone doesn't mean that no matter what you want that person to be with you. It means you want that person to be happy and sometimes that means that you get hurt. It doesn't matter that I get hurt picking out gifts for Jae's girlfriend what matters is that Jae is happy.' you said fumbling with your cup swirling the little remains that were left in the cup. You had nearly finished this one as well without even noticing.

'You are way too good for this world' Ten said smiling at you

'no you mean way too naive and dumb' he shook his head.

'No. Really. I think it's admirable that you are so selfless if I were in your position I would not step down that easily' you smiled and shrugged it off.

'Let's fill this cup again' you said wiggling the cup in an attempt to change the topic.

'Drowning our feelings in alcohol. Is that a good idea?' Ten scolded in a fake serious tone smiling from ear to ear.

'yes for today that's a good idea' Ten nodded and disappeared with your cup. You leaned against the wall eyes swaying over the crowd trying not look at Jae. Ten's word touched you a bit, maybe they stirred something up. You sat down on the nearest sofa waiting for Ten to return with your drink. Sitting still and having nothing to do you started to feel the effect of the alcohol but you felt comfortable with it. It was giving you something else to think about than Jae and the girl. You leaned your head on you hand looking at the floor in front of you. You felt the sofa dip and Ten appeared next to you. You took the cup from his hands and drank from it.

'I'm sorry for bringing that up.' Ten said but you shook your head resting it on the headrest of the sofa.

'No it's fine don't worry just don't say anything to anyone' Ten nodded. You continued to drink with him, joking about a few things both of your heads on the headrest looking at the ceiling.

'Have you ever thought about... like going out there?' you rolled your head to the side to look at Ten.

'But wouldn't that be unfair' you whispered.

'Everyone has a first love that they keep in their heart but not everyone stays with their first love and that doesn't mean that you don't love the new person any less'

'I know but right now I love Jae' You smiled and he smiled as well. 'I'm sorry but I think I need some fresh air. thanks for the talk Ten' you got up and walked to the front porch. Sitting on one of the stairs you looked at the street.

'hey champ what are you doing here?' the sound of the voice made your heart jump and today it annoyed you more than ever. Jae sat down next to you.

'I just needed fresh air' You mumbled looking at your feet.

'I saw you talking to Ten he didn't do anything that made you feel bad' you looked at Jae his eyes were fixed at you, his whole side from the shoulder to the knee where touching you and you could feel his warmth.

'No no he is fine. I'm just a little drunk so I got out to catch some fresh air to sober up a bit' you looked back at the street wrapping your arms around your torso just to do something to do something. 'weren't you talking to that girl' you mumbled before you thought about it. You felt you sounded like a like a little kid complaining. Jae wrapped an arm around you. You sighed but disguised as a chuckle.

'Ahh I need to check on my best friend' he pulled you closer and laughed. Your upper body was now leaned against Jae's chest. 'She was boring anyways' he chuckled still holding you in front of his chest.

'Jae I'm really ok you can go back inside she seemed nice' Jae pulled you up.and looked at you.

'I haven't really talk to you the whole night and I don't want to talk to her.' You smiled at him feeling the blood rushing to your cheeks you quickly looked at your lap. 'are you ok Y/N?' you nodded.

'I'm just drunk' Jae cupped your face so that you had to look at him. Jae looked at you worried.

'are you sure you fine. You know you can tell me everything. I'm your best friend. I love you' he smiled at you.

'I love you too Jae' You whispered. He pulled you close to plant a peck on the top of your head. You stared at him and he started back at you.

'I'm sorry' he whispered still holding your face.

'It's ok' you breathed. You heart was beating so hard you felt it in your head. Jae was unusually quiet his eyes were still fixed onto you.

'Is that also ok' he mumbled before pulling you onto him and pressing his lips onto yours. His lips were soft and warm. You didn't know if it was the alcohol or finally getting kissed my Jae but it felt like your whole body was on fire. You grabbed Jae's wrists pushing yourself a little bit against him. After a few moments you pulled away to look at his face. He looked at you with the softest face you ever saw on him.

'Jae are you drunk?' You felt like you needed to ask. You know you were but you also knew that you would kiss him when you were totally sober but Jae never tried to kiss you, so was it just the alcohol doing things or was that truly Jae that just had kissed you?

'Maybe a bit but let's talk about that tomorrow let's just enjoy it' he winked and kissed you again you smiled against his lips and placed your hands on his neck stroking the hair on the back of his head. Jae pulled away one last time, hovering over your lips.

'I should have done that a lot sooner' You grinned and nodded

'yes you should'
