"Oh, (Y/N)!" A familiar voice called you from behind. You could feel your blood start to rush to your cheeks as your heart started to race. You quickly took in a deep breath as you turned to face one of your classmates who made your heart race.

"Eunkwang!" You smiled. You were trying not to smile too widely.

"Are you heading to the library?" He asked as he fell into step with you. You nodded your head as an answer to his question. "Oh yeah?" He shyly smiled. "Let's go together then," he offered and the two of you started walking towards the direction you were initially headed.

You smiled at the cute and charming guy. The two of you used to be too shy around each other. Even now, there are moments when you still feel shy while being with him. Eunkwang's currently one of your classmates in a large discussion class. The two of you were seated beside each other. Every day, you went to class but the two of you never spoke to each other. Whenever your eyes met, the two of you would just tightly smile and nod in acknowledgement. You've always found him really cute. He was smart too because he'd often give the correct answers and he'd have really good arguments during debates. You've always wanted to talk with him but you were too shy. That was until that day in the library.

You were never really fond of studying at the school's library. You felt like it was too quiet for you. While other preferred the peace and silence, you liked studying in cafes where you could hear the chatter of the people around you. That fateful day, you needed a reference book that could only be found in the library.

The library was pretty much bare of people. There were only a handful students scattered around the hall. You quickly found the book and stayed at one of the long tables near the shelf you found the book. You had your earphones plugged in as you worked. From your peripheral vision, you saw someone take a seat a few spaces away from you. You didn't bother to check who it was.

It took you a while but when you finished taking note of everything you needed in the book, you leaned back on your chair and released a sigh. Your hands were feeling tired from writing too much and you just wanted to rest your eyes for a while. Now that you didn't have anything to do, you became curious of who sat near you. You slightly turned to look but you ended up quickly turning your head to the other side.

"No way..." You uttered to yourself. "It just had to be the cute guy in class!"

You were internally crying. You didn't know if it was because of your nerves or because you were extremely happy and giddy. You took in a deep breath and started to pretend that you were going to study again.

Once in a while, you'd turn to look at him. This went on for a few times until he closed the book that he was using. He stretched his arms before sighing in relief. You sneaked a glance at him only to meet his eyes. He cracked a smile when he recognized who you were. The boy said something but you couldn't hear him clearly because of the earphones in your ears.

"Sorry," you sheepishly said once you removed the accessories. "What was that again?"

He chuckled shyly. "I said, aren't you the person seated next to me during the large class discussion?"

You unconsciously tucked your loose hair behind your ear as you nodded. "Yeah,"

He smiled a little brighter. "I'm Eunkwang, by the way,"

"(Y/N)," you introduced yourself.

Ever since that day, you rarely went to the café to study. Instead, you'd always find yourself heading to the library. It was better for you because you didn't have to spend money to on food and drinks just to stay for a few hours. Of course, you were motivated to study harder too. As time went on, you and Eunkwang talked more often in and outside of class too.

When the semester was about to end, you were sad because you might not see him anymore because you might get different classes the following term. Come next semester, you didn't get any class with him. You do, however, run into him a lot of times because your class was right after his. You'd often find him at the library too so it wasn't that bad.

"Earth to (Y/N)," Eunkwang waved his hand in front of you causing you to snap out of your thoughts.

You shook your head as you found yourself reminiscing once again. "Sorry, sorry. I was just thinking about something,"

"Here I thought you were rejecting me," he laughed. You turned to him with wide eyes.

"What?" You almost yelled at him. Eunkwang laughed even harder. Despite your racing heart, you laughed along with him because his laughter was contagious.

"I asked you if you wanted to take a similar class next term," he smiled.

"Why?" You were trying to be cool and collected but inside, you were a mess. Your mind was trying to process what he was getting at while your heart just wanted to leap out of your chest. The boy shrugged as you finally reached the library. You moved to enter the hall but he quickly held onto your wrist so that you wouldn't move.

"So that I can get to know you even more," he simply said.

"What do you mean?"

"For someone so smart, you're kind of being slow," Eunkwang teased but his cheeks were getting redder by the second. "If you don't want to be in the same class next term, can you... Well... Maybe... Do you want to maybe go out with me?"

You just stared at him.

"Is that a no? I mean, it's fine if you don't want to. We can just be the way we are now, you know. No need to—"

"You tend to talk a lot when you're nervous," you cut him off with a soft laugh.

"Do I?"

You nodded. "To answer, I would like to have a common class with you next term and... Maybe I do want to go out with you,"

Smiles and red cheeks were painted on both of your faces. Eunkwang chuckled and he looked pleased.

"I guess I did make the right move of sitting near you that time in library,"

"Thank you professor for letting us need that book!"
