176. NCT Johnny - Intuition

Summary: Why did Jaehyun have to invite you over only to leave? Now you were stuck in his home with his roommate who you've had a crush on for months, and you've never been more nervous in your life.

"Come over! We can hang out!" is what he had said to you to make you come by his house.

But where was Jaehyun now? Not here, that's for damn sure.

Usually, you hated visiting his apartment. He got himself involved in some...questionable things. His friends were like some sort of weird gang or something, and his small house had become headquarters for their resident hacker, Johnny.

It wasn't that you didn't like Johnny. In fact, you really liked him. The problem was that you liked him too much. Despite the fact he did bad things–only to bad people–you found him incredibly sweet, funny, and caring. He was also insanely intelligent, a trait you found particularly attractive.

So when you had knocked on the door only to be greeted by a sort-of-tired-looking Johnny, your heart skipped a beat. However, despite his surprised expression at seeing you, the only greeting you got was a nod before he turned and began walking back to his office. When you asked where Jaehyun was, he simply threw a "not here" over his shoulder and continued on. He didn't close the office door, however, so you followed him.

Now, you were lounging on the small couch in his office while the patter of his keys became background noise for you. He didn't pay you any attention while you were on your phone, trying to investigate into the reason your best friend wasn't around since Johnny wasn't giving you any answers. He was a hacker, couldn't he find these things out for you?

"Can you type a little quieter?" he asked, his soft voice making you jump considering how quiet it had been. "Your nails are hitting your screen and it's distracting."

"I wouldn't have to type if you'd just tell me where Jaehyun went." you pointed out.

He didn't even spare you a glance, keeping his eyes locked on the screen. "No."

"Why?"

"I don't feel like it, and no means no."

You sighed, rolling your eyes. "Ugh, you're such a typical Aquarius; so stubborn."

"Aw, you remember my sign." he chuckled, being overly-dramatic about how touched he was. "I can't believe you care that much about me, ___."

Before you were able to come up with some half-assed comeback, you heard the front door closed, followed by Ten's familiar yelling. You pushed yourself off the couch and poked your head out of the office door, seeing Ten taking his shoes off by the door.

"Hey," you greeted him, making him turn around and flash you a smile, "is Jaehyun with you?"

"Yeah, he's-" Ten was cut off by the door being thrown open, and Jaehyun calling your name so loud you were sure it shook some of the frames on the walls, "right here."

"Someone put a muzzle on him." Johnny grumbled behind you, making you crack a smile.

Jaehyun's eyes landed on you, and he rushed over to you to pull you into a dangerously tight hug. "I'm so sorry I wasn't here! Mark and Taeyong had an emergency thing and-"

"Don't worry about her." Johnny spoke up, turning away from the computer to look at his roommate. "She made good company for me."

Jaehyun smiled widely, pleased that his friends were getting along. "Really? Well, thanks for looking after her, dude. C'mon, ___."
