You let your eyes wander around the party you were. You quickly found Jae standing in a doorframe talking to a girl a bright red plastic cup in his hand. He was smiling and the girl was just like all the others. Grinning at him brightly acting cute when he was making a joke and standing way too close to him.

' why are you doing this to yourself?' you heard a familiar voice right behind you. You turned around. Ten was smiling at you pushing a red cup in your hand. Without even questioning you took a sip. The strong alcohol burned your throat but warmed your stomach.

'What do you mean?' you asked and he nudged your shoulder laughing a little.

'C'mon I know about your little crush' your eyes widened. 'Don't worry your secret's safe with me.'

'I doubt that' you answered dry and Ten scoffed. 'Please don't tell him i don't want things to get awkward.'

'Why? I can understand that you are afraid but why do you literally torture yourself? You help him with all his relationships. I can't imagine how painful is to see him with all this girls' you gulped and took another big sip from the cup practically emptying it. Ten grabbed a bottle from a nearby table and filled your cup again. ' so why are you doing this to yourself.' you took another sip before you answered him.

‚That's love' you whispered and he looked confused. 'to love someone doesn't mean that no matter what you want that person to be with you. It means you want that person to be happy and sometimes that means that you get hurt. It doesn't matter that I get hurt picking out gifts for Jae's girlfriend what matters is that Jae is happy.' you said fumbling with your cup swirling the little remains that were left in the cup. You had nearly finished this one as well without even noticing.

'You are way too good for this world' Ten said smiling at you

'no you mean way too naive and dumb' he shook his head.

'No. Really. I think it's admirable that you are so selfless if I were in your position I would not step down that easily' you smiled and shrugged it off.

'Let's fill this cup again' you said wiggling the cup in an attempt to change the topic.

'Drowning our feelings in alcohol. Is that a good idea?' Ten scolded in a fake serious tone smiling from ear to ear.

'yes for today that's a good idea' Ten nodded and disappeared with your cup. You leaned against the wall eyes swaying over the crowd trying not look at Jae. Ten's word touched you a bit, maybe they stirred something up. You sat down on the nearest sofa waiting for Ten to return with your drink. Sitting still and having nothing to do you started to feel the effect of the alcohol but you felt comfortable with it. It was giving you something else to think about than Jae and the girl. You leaned your head on you hand looking at the floor in front of you. You felt the sofa dip and Ten appeared next to you. You took the cup from his hands and drank from it.

'I'm sorry for bringing that up.' Ten said but you shook your head resting it on the headrest of the sofa.

'No it's fine don't worry just don't say anything to anyone' Ten nodded. You continued to drink with him, joking about a few things both of your heads on the headrest looking at the ceiling.

'Have you ever thought about... like going out there?' you rolled your head to the side to look at Ten.

'But wouldn't that be unfair' you whispered.

'Everyone has a first love that they keep in their heart but not everyone stays with their first love and that doesn't mean that you don't love the new person any less' He smiled at you and you closed your eyes.

'But I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that' you whispered more to yourself than Ten.

'well I can understand but don't you feel like you restrain yourself? I mean a lot of people just like go to clubs and make out with some attractive boy. And sure like oh I don't know how to word this without sounding like a douche. I just don't want you to regret that you like never been out there. Your young and most of us young people do stupid shit and that's part of the experience kind of I guess.' he took another big gulp sighing.

'I know what you mean Ten and I know you are wanting to help and I also know that you are kind of right.' you looked at him and smiled. Ten was right you felt that way Jae seemed to find his happiness so many times and everytime he didn't seem to feel bad when he got a new girlfriend. Sure you kind of dabbled into dating but you always felt bad and most of the times it were like more of a double date or something you've been more or less talked into.

‚You're right I'm young and I should do some stupid things' you said sitting up straight.

‚why do I feel like I created a monster' he laughed and you nodded grinning.

'Maybe you did but maybe you helped me to realise I need closure.' Ten now looked confused. ‚I don't mean closure on Jae in general but more like closing on potential boyfriend Jae.' Ten nodded and brushed over your arm.

‚I'm glad that you realised how to be a bit more happier' you looked at him for a second and felt adrenaline rushing through your veins realising what adventures await you. You grinned and took his hand warmth spreading from your hand, warmth that felt like something new, a beginning to something that you enjoyed very much.

'were are you taking me?' Ten asked a little bit afraid but you could still heard the curiosity in his voice.You grabbed his hand tighter dragging him through the people into the middle of the room. Stopping in midst of the people dancing you turned around and looked at Ten.

'Let's start dancing' you shouted grinning already dancing to the music. Ten laughed and mumbled something you couldn't hear him but you thought you saw his lips forming an >>alright<<. Ten slowly put his hands on your waist smiling at you.

'if it gets uncomfortable just tell me ok' He shouted at you, nodding you placed your hands right over the insides of his elbows. You danced like that for some time until Ten grabbed your hand swirling you around the dance floor. You couldn't stop laughing swirling around Ten like a ballerina.

'Ten... TEN! I'm getting dizzy' he stopped spinning you around and dipped you laughing as well. After he pulled you back up he hugged you laughing into you ear. Everything was spinning around you , the people in your vision were swinging from side to side.

'are you having fun?' he asked and you nodded grinning widely.

'Yes thank you Ten' you pulled away and smiled at him. He put his hands on you neck smiling softly at you.

'I'm glad that I make you happy... Now I just need to make you feel loved' and with this words he pressed his lips softly onto yours. You kissed guys before but it was nothing like the way Ten kissed you but it wasn't those exploding butterflies that you always read in books about either. It was a comfortable warmth and calmness, like the first real sunlight after a long winter. After realising you didn't pushed him away Ten smiled for a second then pulled away. He looked you in the eyes and brushed over your hair.

'are you ok?' he mouthed still smiling, although you could see some worry in his eyes. You nodded smiling.

'yes Ten I'm very very ok' he grinned and kissed the top of your head.
