"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I'm in Celeste's house," Amaya said.
"Yeah, so...?"
"This is awesome."
Celeste rolled her eyes. She pulled out a bag of chips and salsa and guacamole. Celeste set the bowl on the coffee table. Amaya, Bones, and Terri immediately sat on one couch and began eagerly eating the chips.
"Now how is this going to work?" Celeste asked. "Are we, like, your body guards?"
"We're supposed to be working together, you know. No fighting, perhaps? Anyways. We're going to be like a better version of a police agency, you know."
"Great. One problem," Amaya said. "None of us know how to fight or use weapons."
"See, I told you we were just high school students!" Celeste said.
"I know how to fight," Lucifer said.
"Yeah, well no one asked."
"You did, brat."
Celeste jumped onto him, punching him repeatedly. Everyone else cheered and groaned which made me feel awful and without control.
"Break up!" I shouted. Celeste moved away from Lucifer and pulled up the spaghetti straps on her dress.
"Who knows how to fight now?" Lucifer asked.
"I'm talking," I said, grabbing both of their attention. They quickly broke away from me and returned to staring at each other. Lucifer gave her a smug grin; Celeste glared.
"Is anyone paying attention to me?" I asked. "Guys, come on! Can't you go three seconds without fighting?"
"One—-two—three..." Celeste punched Lucifer in the face. "I did it."
"Do you guys care about anybody but yourself?"
"Do YOU care about anybody but yourself?" Celeste asked. "You don't know us. You barely know ANYTHING about us, and yet you're asking us to fight some random "villains" just because you were stupid enough to mess with one."
"At least, I did the right thing and wasn't careless enough to walk away!"
"Technically that would've been the smart decision," Glamour said.
"So if hundreds of people die-"
"We're gonna die?!" Bones said.
"I didn't say that-"
"He said that if we don't follow everything he says; we're going to be ultimately responsible for the death of civilization," Celeste said.
"I did NOT say that!"
"You thought it, didn't you, Tori."
"For the last time, it's Terry."
"I knew that, I just did it for fun that time."
"You enjoy getting on people's nerves, don't you?" Lucifer said.
"At least, I'm respected, beanpole."
"Don't even think about it."
"What is wrong with you people?"
"What is wrong with YOU?" Celeste asked.
"Forget it. Screw that stupid virus mark. I don't care anymore. I might as well DIE; you wouldn't care."
"Technically, it's-" Bones said.
"SHUT UP!"
He froze.
"I'm out of here!" I shouted, turning away and marching off.
"Terry, wait!" Amaya said.
"Don't follow me or even THINK about it, or I'll drag you to Thrax, himself. Whoever the heck he is!" I stormed off and slammed the door, marching down the street and muttering to myself.
