PART ONE: The Power of the 8 Elements team starts off as freshmen in high school, not knowing what they are stepping into and how destructive it'll be.
PART TWO: When all seems normal, Celeste and Lucifer make a mistake that puts their lives in dang...
With my new license, I drove around Holland Ridge. A lot of people claimed that Holland Ridge was where most people were killed, and if you wanted to die...it was your funeral. Right at the moment, I felt like I wanted to die. I didn't blame Lucifer; it wasn't his fault. It was mainly mine, but try telling my mom that. She'd blame it on Lucifer with every chance she took. After all, I was perfect. I couldn't make any mistakes. I was never in trouble. I can't be imperfect. And neither can Proteus. Silver was the perfect doctor. Rune was a grade A student and was likely to be the next Apple creator. Lucifer, despite having the best grades in the whole school the teacher said—alongside Phoenix—and being very chivalrous and caring was, it felt, on the verge of getting kicked out of the house. And since Mom was a lawyer, she had every legal right to do so...maybe.
This situation would push my mom over the top. Maybe the both of us would be homeless. Maybe I could move halfway across the country, change my name, and start a new life. I'd pretend like the child wasn't mine, and I was attacked. Then again moving cost money, and I didn't have enough. No one would approve of a dark one-light one child, that was just common sense. It was never done. Marriage...okay. Children...now that was another story that the public wasn't ready for. I knew it with every cell in my body. WHAM! A powerful object leapt on the front of my car, damaging it severely. I got out, ignoring the damage that had been done. I was focusing more on what it was. It looked to have four limbs and was slightly human.
I then heard the rustling of leaves and shuffling. There was a growl and what sounded like barking? Not from a dog, but from another creature. Some kind of monster. I pulled out my phone, using the camera light, and took slow steps into the woods. I kept walking, trying to keep my footsteps as light as possible. My swords had been left at home, but there was a possibility that this was a stray dog. Who would kill one of those? I grabbed a large stick and moved past some thorny bushes. Then I saw it...a creature. It looked like an alien or some kind of beast I suppose. It was munching on what looked like a body.
The creature had the proportion of a mix between a gorilla and a flightless bat. It had digitigrade limbs with its arms longer than its legs. Its face visibly had no eyes and no nose. But it clearly had a mouth that was filled with sharp teeth. Its body was covered in multiple black plates. The spaces in between the armor plates had dark red lines that blinked like LED lights. It didn't notice me, but it made a loud commotion as it ate. I took the quietest step I could, but suddenly the creature turned around lightning fast. Even I couldn't hear my footsteps. How could the monster? The creature had plates around its face as well. I stood as still as possible. It let out a sound that sounded like a mix of a man struggling to inhale for a breath and a snake hiss.

It looked around. I held my breath. It couldn't have seen me otherwise I'd be dead right now. The armor plates around the head spread out like a hellish cabbage making a creaking noise. I tried to back away, but the creature turned again. The plates around its face closed suddenly. Another piece of the armor opened up revealing an ear that pulsed strangely.
