Terry POV

I shot up in bed, terrified. I had a nightmare. I didn't know why, but I had a lot of nightmares recently. It was hard to describe, but I felt that I was always cold. There were always three hooded figures. One was of average height. One was really small. The other was slightly taller, but still pretty short. The tallest figure held what appeared to be an ancient set of Seals in their hands. Suddenly the earth would be destroyed, and I'd fall into a never-ending abyss of coldness and water. It was morning, yet it didn't feel like morning.

It was the first day of November, I realized. I was getting ready for school when I looked in the mirror and saw that my eyes were now a medium blue. Weird. I blinked several times hoping they would disappear and return to their natural turquoise green color, but they didn't.

"How'd you sleep Terry? You look like you saw a ghost," my mom said, when I came downstairs.

She didn't notice my new eye color. Good.

"I slept fine," I said. I noticed that my hands were growing smaller and had developed tiny claws. When I got dressed I chose something subtle. A dark blue grey hoodie...sort of subtle And just as I was about to leave the house I looked like an entirely different person. I had glittery white skin, black sclerae, white hair and blue only at the tips. There were snowflakes and frost patterns on my arms, neck, and cheeks.

'No one can see me,' I told myself, 'No one.'

I walked into the building with the hoodie over my head. I had grown smaller, too, so no one would suspect it was me. I had gone almost the entire day without getting noticed until I reached the class just before lunch. We had history before lunch. We were taking a test when I suddenly heard screaming and shouting in the hall. People were running like crazy.

'Did Lucifer show up or something?'

The teacher opened the door.

"What's going on?" she asked.

"Some dementor from Harry Potter got into the school!" A student screamed.

'Dementor?'

A figure stepped into the door wielding a spear shaped staff. I immediately recognized him. Skrael. He was trapping people in the hallway in blocks of ice, blasting them every which way with wind, and hurting everyone. Celeste sat next to me in this class. He knocked Celeste into the bookshelf behind me. She gasped for breath.

"Skrael!" I shouted angrily.

Everyone looked over at me probably thinking: 'you know him?'

"Little deer," he said, with a slight grin.

I narrowed my eyes. I was mad. "Eight years it's been! EIGHT! FLIPPING! YEARS! And now you show up?!"

"I don't understand! What have the mortals done to you?!"

I pulled the hoodie off and glared.

"They've helped me see!"

Skrael looked offended, but I didn't care. He needed to know how I was feeling, because I wasn't going to just take the hand of this jerk who promised to never forget me and then left me for eight years!

"Go!" I said.

"As you wish...Terry," Skrael said, narrowing his eyes and disappearing in a tornado.

Everyone began cheering and gathering around me. But I couldn't hear them. It seemed like all sound had been drowned out. Someone might have put a hand on my shoulder, but I couldn't remember. I ran out of the room, tears streaming down my face. I pushed past people in the hall. I didn't care that my hoodie had come off. I stood outside staring at the playground. It was covered in blocks of ice, looked like it had been struck by lightning, and there was a tornado drifting near the school. But no Skrael. Although I knew there were sounds, it seemed like I couldn't hear anything. I dropped to the ground on my knees and screamed, sobbing. The entire school was covered in ice, frost, and snow. Spikes of ice broke from the ground and through it. I buried my face in my hands. The doors were blocked with ice. The tornado swept me up.

"Skrael?" I said, noticing him, controlling it

"Skrael?" I said, noticing him, controlling it.

We teleported somewhere and I lost consciousness.

... POV

I sat on the couch reading. Suddenly Skrael appeared and one other person. I gasped. Bellroc ran through the door and hugged him tightly. Skrael looked like he was going to suffocate.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Did you break anything?" She said worriedly; she was asking all these questions.

"I'm fine, Bell, I'm fine," Skrael said.

"Good." She grabbed one of the horns of the skull he wore, "Then what were you thinking?!" She made him stand up.

"Bell, come on!" Skrael said.

I hopped from the couch and began sniffing the other person.

"Skrael's right," I said, "We have...our missing member."
