"Guys, I've got a guest," I said, opening the door.

Terri ran up and hugged me. "Why are you wet? Did it rain?"

"No, I fell in the bay."

"At least you are back."

"Hello," Xan said.

Everyone gasped when they saw him.

"This is Xan," I said, "He's here to help us."

Xan nodded, "Terry's told me a lot about you. Amaya, Glamour, Ferdinand, Bones. Celeste, Terri, Lucifer."

"Well, I never told you their names."

"How'd you know our names?" Bones said, "Can you read our minds?"

"No, but I'm very powerful. And I've got to show you something." He opened up a portal underneath us.

"Cool!" Amaya said, "What is it?"

"A portal," I answered, "Didn't think anyone had the ability to control those anymore."

"Follow me," Xan said. He jumped in.

I sighed. I trusted him as much as I trusted anyone else, and I followed him. As I fell through the darkness, I noticed three figures. One of them wore a hooded cloak. Another was green with tree branches for antlers. And the third wore a black feather cloak.

'What are you trying to show me, Xan?'

I landed in a world that looked too good to be true. The entire area was covered in several various plants and trees. There was a large field with several types of vegetation.

"It's beautiful," I said.

"It's home," Xan said, "Well, don't just stand there. Come on."

He led the eight of us to a maze.

"Don't worry, it's fun. All of you will find your weapon."

I stepped through and began finding my way around the place. I gasped when I came across a long table with a large ice blue bow and arrow. I stared at a dark blue armor with various glowing blue diamond patterns.

"What do you think?" Xan said from behind me, "Do you like it?"

"I love it," I said. I paused, "You called me Phoenix. My name is Terry."

"I know."

"Do you really get it, though? I'm Terry. Not Phoenix. I've never known anyone named Phoenix."

"That's what you think, but I know someone named Phoenix. You just might not remember it."

"Remember what?"

"You'll get there," Xan said, "How's the bow? Do you have any experience in archery?"

Xan was always changing subjects. I picked up the bow and drew an arrow.

"It's perfect," I said, "I love it."

Xan nodded. He walked next to me.

"Well, go on, I don't bite," he said.

I bent down and petted him. Xan leaned his furry head against me. I smiled.
