"So..." Mom said at dinner, "What happened at school? Do you want to tell us?"

"Um...well..." I said.

"It was so terrifying and so awesome at the same time," Terri said, "In the middle of chemistry, this guy came floating down the hall freezing students and blasting them into the air."

"Were you one of them?" Dad asked, sitting at the table.

"No, he stopped at Terry's class. Terry, you saw him, right?"

"Yep, I saw him alright," I said.

"Anyways, this female glacier froze the entire school!"

'Well, that female glacier...was me.' I wanted to say that, but I knew that they would have several questions about me, and what I was up to.

"What'd you think of it?" Dad asked.

"It wasn't that scary. I mean, he did freeze like half the class, but Sk–he eventually disappeared."

"Good thing school's been canceled," Terri said.

"Wait, what?" I said.

"That glacier I was talking about did a number on the school. She spent spikes of ice throughout the entire school."

I didn't say anything after dinner.

"You're acting suspicious," Terri said, flying in front of me. He didn't have Neverfairy wings like me. His were large and looked more like butterfly wings, but he hardly used them. I told him not too, because they attracted too much attention. One side was purple and the other was a bright yellow.

"I'm not suspicious," I said, sitting on the side of the bed.

"You said almost nothing at dinner. Did you know that guy?"

'Yes! He's my long lost friend, a demigod, and...kinda cute. Okay, what the heck am I saying?'

"No, I've never seen him before in my life. He just barged into the classroom demanding something and then left." I undid my hair. Nari had been playing with it while I was over at the Order. "Do you think he works for the Evil Angel?" I said.

"Maybe, was he stealing something?"

"No, but he wielded a staff."

"I heard Celeste say that someone called him Skrael."

"Skrael?"

"Mhmm. Know of any Skraels?"

"Nope! What kind of name is Skrael anyway?"

"Alright, but if I catch you lying, $100."

"50," I said.

Terri raised an eyebrow.

"Fine, 150."

He smiled and then left the room.

"Fortunately, no one will ever find out," I said, lying on the bed, going into demigod form and making my eyes glow as the lights flipped off with magic.
