You don't know her

Chases POV:
I walked back into my bed room where Delilah was on the bed writting things down. I'd expect for the wedding.

When I came in she looked up at me

Delilah: "where were you and why are you drenched in water?"
Chase: "charli puked on me and long story short we ended up spraying each other with water"

She smiled

Delilah: "is she okay?"
Chase: "I don't know. She seemed to be having a meltdown when I came in. But I think she's okay now."

I hope she is. The only way she's got a chance is if she believes she won't die.
Study's show that people with more hope have a better chance at living. Don't know how or don't know why, it's just how it works

Delilah: "god, I feel terrible"

Why?

Chase: "why? What did you do?"
Delilah: "I basically told her that she's wasting her time making a wedding dress for herself because she might never get the chance to use it. I didn't mean for it to sound that way."

She really said that? Seriously.
What other way would it sound? She basically just told her she's gonna die before she gets the chance to get married, that isn't very supportive.

Chase: "I think it's exactly how it sounds, you just didn't mean to say it out loud."

She's not wrong... charli might never have a wedding... but that doesn't mean you gotta say that to her face

Delilah: "you aren't helping"

I sat down on the bed

Delilah: "it's true... she might never have a wedding... I just really hope that Ivan steps up eventually..."

I nodded

Chase: "well... if I'm being honest, I kinda hope that Ivan doesn't step up"

She raised an eyebrow in confusion

Chase: "She deserves so much better then him. Don't you agree?"
Delilah: "you don't know him that well, I think he's a good guy."

I don't have to know him that well to know that charli deserves way better

Chase: "he's got a great girl that he loves and has been with forever. He knows that charli wants to get married. Relationships are comprises, it doesn't look like he's making any. When you have the girl of your dreams, put a ring on her before someone else does. It's what I did. Im just wondering why he didn't."

I don't know Delilah's sister that well, but I do know she deserves a lot better then someone who can't make a commitment.

Delilah: "Charli isn't perfect. She's got flaws. A lot of them and yeah maybe Ivan has got commitment issues but Charlis got other issues."

I'm intrigued.

Chase: "tell me more"
Delilah: "I love her of course, but shes got a lot of things she needs to work on before she can survive a marriage."

Maybe that wasn't such a good idiom to use.

Delilah: "Shes impulsive, shes possessive, insecure, she's got loyalty issues. She self destructs."

How?

Chase: "what do you mean."
Delilah: "this is really non of your business... but a lot of the time when things are going really well for her and Ivan, she ruins it before he can."

Oh.

Chase: "she's cheated?"
Delilah: "no. But she's purposely broke up with him multiple times so she can sleep with other people."
