Chases POV:
I'm glad my mother came. She's really been helping Charli a lot. She's like a mom to her. The mom she never had. I'm really glad someone in my family isn't an asshole. I honestly don't know how my bothers came from my mother. They must be adopted because they are the complete opposite of her.

Once my mom came out of the room she came and sat next to me.

Chase: "how is she?"

She sighed

Miss Hudson: "how are you?"
Chase: "I'm- fine."

She shook her head

Miss Hudson: "no. How are you."

The tears began pouring out of my eyes

Chase: "I'm not good, mom"
She wrapped her arms around me

Chase: "im not okay and I have to pretend to be okay! I can't do it. Every second of the day I feel like breaking down but I can't do that to her!"
Miss Hudson: "it's hard I know"

I leaned against her and I felt like a child crying to my mom

Chase: "she's all I have left. I can't lose her too."
Miss Hudson: "I know I know"

I need the prescriptions. I can't do it.

Miss Hudson: "have you told your brothers yet... they've got a lot of life experience. I'm sure they could offer you some sort of advice to help you."

Absolutely not.

Miss Hudson: "I know Fred recently moved back here. Maybe you can see him?"

I laughed but it wasn't funny at all

Chase: "Mom... Fred's a terrible person"

Sorry to break it to her

Miss Hudson: "Chase! Don't say that about your brother. He's family no matter what he did. Yes, he abandoned us. But we always have to find it in our hearts to forgive him"

I shook my head before she could even finish

Chase: "he's not my family."
Miss Hudson: "yes he is."

No he isn't??

Chase: "she's my family"
I pointed to the room

Miss Hudson: "yeah she is. But so is your brother"
Chase: "Anyone who does anything to hurt her in anyway is not my family"

Especially Fred

Miss Hudson: "what do you mean hurt her? What did he do?"

I sighed

I really don't want to tell her. He's her son after all. No one wants to hear something this terrible about their own child.

Chase: "mom... he... he um... he touched- he touched her while she was asleep"

She raised an eyebrow

Chase: "he put his hand between her legs"
