Charlis POV:
Huh.

Charli: "what do you mean"
I laughed

Why does he sound serious?
That isn't a funny joke.
Why would he even make that joke.

Chase: "I'm sorry charli! I have to. Because of music. I have to."

Oh my god he is serious.

Charli: "You're fucking kidding"
Chase: "you're mad."

What does he mean he's staying here for a while?? We had a whole plan? We're going. We're moving this month?? Why is he changing his mind now? He wants to stay because of his job? Really? What kind of dick does that? I should have known!

Charli: "of course I'm fucking mad! You said yes and now you're going back on that? I want to start living and you know that, I beat cancer so I could do this and now your saying you don't want to??"
Chase: "you can go! I'm not saying you can't. We can do long distance for awhile and I could stay here and make money to pay for your health care and your traveling"

My jaw dropped

He's making me sound like some stay at home mom. While he goes out and does all the work I just relax and do nothing?

Charli: "now you're making me out to be a complete asshole? Do you think I want to go travel alone, ruin the only good relationship I've ever had, and let you stay here and work to pay for all my shit? No?? Why would I want that. You said you'd come with me and now you're bailing because of a job."

I stood up to walk away but he grabbed my arm

Chase: "It's been my dream my whole life charli. It's really important to me."
Charli: "and I'm not?"

I pulled my arm out of his grip and walked away in anger

We're having a kid?? How could he do this? I don't want this to be my life. I don't want any of this!

He chased after me into the room

Chase: "You know you're important to me?? Of course you are"
Charli: "just not as important as your job."

He scoffed

Chase: "You're the most important person to me?? Ever. You're more important to me."

If I was more important then he would pick me

Charli: "then why are you picking it over me."
Chase: "if this was between you and a job, of course I'd pick you. I'd pick you a hundred time over. But this isn't between you and a job. Its between vacations and a job."

I scoffed

Vacations?? Is that what he thinks?!

Charli: "Is that what you think of this?? As vacations?! You've got to be fucking kidding! Do you not know me at all? I don't want this life! I don't want any of it! I never wanted kids, I never wanted to stay in San Diego, and now you're forcing me to have the lifestyle I never wanted! Having cancer taught me one thing, I should start living before it's too late and now you're not even letting me do that"

He ran his hands through his hair and groaned

Why the fuck is he mad? He should be apologizing to me right now.

Chase: "forced you? I told you that you could get an abortion and I'd be totally good with it. I never forced you into anything?? I never even encouraged you into anything?? And I told you you could go to where ever you wanna go without me but you still don't want to! I don't know what else you want me to do?! What do you want from me!"
Charli: "I want you! I want you to come with me! Because none of it is worth it without you?!"
