                      ~Chapter 19~

Chases POV:
I have been waiting out here for the past 10 minutes. I can't take it any longer. What happened? What's wrong with her scans?

Also why was I forced to be kicked out of the room? What if the cancer grew. I'd want to know.

I need to know. I can't let her take this news on her own? Also how do they have new scans? Did charli do another scan without saying anything?

Or maybe they missed something in the old scans?
I wouldn't be surprised.

Of course they did?? They are horrible doctors. Charli's gonna die because they missed something??

I put my ear to the door so I could try to hear what they were saying but I couldn't hear a thing.

Why is it taking so long?? 
How much cancer could have spread?!

The door open and I stepped back before I could get hit in the face by the door

The doctors smiled at me and I entered the room

I saw tears on her face.

I ran up to her and wrapped her in my arms

Chase: "what happened? We can fix it. We will fix it. It spread didn't it? Don't worry. It's gonna be okay. I know it will."

She pushed me off of her

Charli: "I'm fine? It was nothing"

Nothing? It didn't sound like it was nothing

Chase: "why does it look like you were crying"
Charli: "I wasn't. It's just allergies."

Allergies to what??

Chase: "you don't have allergies"

Why is she lying to me? I just want to help...

Charli: "allergies to uh- dust- yeah. Dust. Some got in my face- and it made my eyes water"

That doesn't even make sense??

Chase: "are you really not gonna tell me?"

Does she not want me to worry or something? Because it's too late.

Chase: "I want to know. Please"

It's bad isn't it...

Charli: "it's alright. I'm gonna be fine. You don't have to worry. Just trust me."

No? Why is she acting like this? I want to help her and I can't help if she's not telling me what it is? Did the cancer get worse? Is she gonna die?

Chase: "fine... you don't have to tell me... but I want you to promise it isn't something bad... promise me it isn't life threatening..."

She nodded

Charli: "I promise there's nothing to worry about"

Okay. That works. I don't know why she's not telling me but if she really doesn't want to tell me then I can't force her to. I just really hope she's telling the truth.
