Chases POV:
I feel really bad for her and I can't believe I ever liked her parents. I saw how differently they treated her to Delilah. I've seen how they treated Delilah, they treat her like she's their only daughter. They treat her like the most important person in the world, so when I saw how they spoke to charli I was a little bit surprised.

They told her straight to her face that I would never pick her over Delilah. They think that no one could ever love her.

Why? Why do they pick and choose like that? They act as they've known her her whole life but she left before she even fully developed. They don't even know who she is.

And then when she told them she beat cancer they had the audacity to take credit for that? Notice how her mom didn't say "You did so good charli"
She said "we did so good with her"
When they didn't even do anything with her.

Charli: "how did you know."

I really wish her mom hadn't pointed out that she was pregnant because I know now that she's gonna be insecure.
I know how much she hates being pregnant and that's why we never really talk about it. She wants the baby but she doesn't want the pregnancy.

Miss D'Amelio: "I was pregnant twice before. I know what it looks like"

So what? What does she want?

They walked closer towards the both of us

Mister D'amelio: "are you keeping it."

She looked at me and then nodded

Miss D'amelio: "and you decided it would be a good idea to drink??! Are you kidding. You have responsibility to this baby and that's to respect it and you already failed. 1 sip of alcohol is bad for its heath but you got drunk. What kind of monster does that?"

I took Charli's hand and pulled her away

Chase: "let's go."

We began walking to the car

Mister D'amelio: "that's our grandchild you have! You can't take it away forever!"

We can and we will

We arrived to the car and got inside of it.

I looked at her and I could tell she was holding back tears

Chase: "you aren't a monster. Who are they to judge you on parenting. they said it themselves, parents have one job and that's to respect their kid. They didn't even do that."

She said nothing so I just started to drive home.
The whole car ride was silent

When we came back inside the house it was really late. Charli went straight to the bathroom and I went inside her closet and looked for something to wear. A lot of my clothes were at her house.

I found some of my pyjama pants in her closet so I just took those and wore no shirt

They smelt like her so I assumed she wore them

I sat in her bed and waited for her to come out of the bathroom before I went to bed

After 30 minutes, I decided to check on her.
