- Emma and Wilamena love pineapple on pizza. Michael thinks that it's wrong in every way.
- Emma regularly claims that cereal is a soup, just to make Michael's head explode.
- Kate's usually the designated driver whenever the family goes anywhere.
- Emma has timed Michael's lectures and then told him exactly how many minutes too long he's been talking. It always embarrasses him.
- In terms of the main characters' sexualities, I headcanon this: Kate's bisexual, Michael is straight, Emma's sapphic and aromantic, Wilamena is pansexual, Rafe is demisexual and demiromantic, and Gabriel is asexual and panromantic, but doesn't often enter into relationships with others.
- Emma regularly refers to her brother as the 'token straight' of the family.
- Dena, Emma, and Lee, the warrior who was tasked with babysitting them during the battle of the Dead City in The Emerald Atlas, are all considered Gabriel's chaotic warrior children by the rest of the village. The girls regularly cause chaos and fight people, and they keep dragging Lee into it.
- Emma is always forgetting to charge her phone and any other electronics.
- Michael is a clean freak and Emma is a mess but both of them hate doing laundry. Michael lives out of a laundry basket and Emma is regularly wearing dirty clothes for multiple days in a row.
- Wilamena color codes everything she can get her hands on. She has a complex system for her calendar and she will get frustrated if anyone uses the wrong markers for certain things.
- Gabriel is really good at card games, and has been known to win a decent amount of money, though he saves gambling for special occasions and down-time.
- Emma comes up with the idea that she and her siblings should get a family tattoo. Kate agrees without much prompting, but it takes Emma full five months to convince Michael to join in. The three go and they each get the three interlocked rings that symbolize the books of beginning, and themselves, tattooed. Emma has it on her right hip, Kate has it on the back of her left shoulder, and Michael has his on his lower back (he usually keeps it covered). Michael, surprisingly, kept it together for the most part, though he later admitted that he felt like he was going to pass out.
- Michael never drives above the speed limit and is usually below it. It drives people crazy, and he's regularly told that he drives like an old man. Emma, on the other hand, regularly speeds.
- Emma, Dena, Lee, and Gabriel compare scars and stories and compete over who has the coolest one. Granny Peet is done with their bullshit.
- Michael has to apply multiple layers of sunscreen in the summer, or he will burn up within a few hours of going outside.
- Dena bought Gabriel a cowboy hat, and though he will never admit it, he likes wearing it.
- The Wibberlys and friends and their mental health conditions, according to my brain: Emma has ADHD, Michael has anxiety disorder and gets panic attacks, Kate has paranoid anxiety, insomnia/sleep disorders, and depression, Rafe has paranoid and depressive tendencies, as well as insomnia, Wilamena has severe claustrophobia, and Gabriel experiences traumatic flashbacks. All of them have PTSD. The Wibberlys are basically a walking psychology textbook, as Gabriel likes to say.
- Kate loves all things lemon flavored.
- Wilamena proposed to Michael by taking him on a romantic boat ride on a pond that she had previously covered in flower petals and floating flowers. She convinced some of her friends to hide in the trees and play both traditional elvish romantic music, and dwarfish victory ballads. When she and Michael reached the middle of the water, Wilamena pulled a ring out of her handbag and asked Michael if he would marry her. Michael, of course, said yes, and he was so overjoyed that he almost fell out of the boat.
